Man.... watching this game breaks my heart. This team had heart. They were fast, they could score, they were feared, and we came so, so painfully close. Looking at them now after all Gillis did and the year of Torts... The team now isn't even a shade of what it was in 2011. The team now is so broken.... It really breaks my heart.

Pray we can get a cup soon...believe..there is lot of luck, skill required ..luck in lot of ways is key..the stansion etc...I think we can be back to the final and win it sooner than many think. Go Canucks Go. Bittersweet as my dad and I watched these; he died in Mar 2012.

Sucks to see they came so close... even when they were missing half their defenseman, they deserved it way more And this is coming from a Flames fan

The Bruins outscored them 23-8. All Vancouver’s wins were by 1, the narrowest Bruin win was 5-2. Most lopsided 7 game Stanley Cup final

Prime Shadow riot has nothing to do with the team...and any hockey fan with common sense knows about Colin Campbell and the league head office and how they didn’t suspend boychuk just because Colin’s kid was on the bruins, bruins took cheap shots and injured multiple players and got no discipline then they suspended Aaron Rome for his hit on Horton. Either they should’ve had the same way and suspended bruins players as well as Rome, or they shouldn’t have suspended Rome at all and let the bruins players take their cheap shots

mjf2891 no one really cares about how the canucks performed...not my argument. And who knows what factored in to them playing that bad...probably because half their roster was hurt. Never said Boston didn’t deserve it, just said the canucks deserved better

You know what. This has to be one the best played games in franchise history. Lots of big hits, great defensive play, Luongo was flawless... it only makes it hurt that much more.

Man we were so close, but I do think the reason Tim Thomas was so flawless during this run was he was having fun, throughout the highlights when he is scored on he is smiling and just having fun seems no pressure on him whatsoever.

@lonewolf604 YES EXACTLY. Defense is strong with Tim, along with his goal tending which makes it very strong and difficult for Canucks to score on them. It clearly shows. Games 4 and 5 had the bruins rip through our defenses and it gave them many openings.

boston's defense is too great for Canucks to get through. This is especially true when they play on their own ice with their fans. The brutes they call offense are great and cross rink passing, and passing in general which lead to some goals. I'll admit that and ONLY that. They're a bunch of dirty players and even the guys at TSN or whatever said it themselves. Problem: Not Luongo. No matter how many hater say so its our damn defense thats too fucking weak.
