My favorite hockey player of all time. I was born, raised and still reside in San Jose. In the early days of the Sharks history Pavel used to light up the scoreboard at the Cow Palace. Even though I was a Sharks season ticket holder I enjoyed seeing Pavel display his stick handling skills. Pavel was the fastest skater with the puck I have seen. Thanks for the outstanding memories and I hope that you are doing well. A fan in San Jose, CA

I can still single out Pavel Bure as the number one reason I became a die-hard Canucks fan about 20 years ago. He was definitely my favourite player growing up.

Here's a guy who should be amongst the Canucks honourees for their Ring Of Honour. Great to see a report on Pavel Bure. He was my all time favourite Vancouver Canuck player.

That overtime goal in game 7 against Calgary is probably my favourite Canucks goal of all time. It was so so good to finally beat them in the playoffs.

I hope they at least send Bure's number 10 to the ring of honor next year if they don't retire it. He was the most talented Canuck ever. It's too bad the way he left, but i'm glad to see he's doing well.

I'm so glad to see a Bure interview where he's not diplomatic in answers, but looking back at fond memories. Pavel is known to be reclusive so what a great thing to see the real #10 again (sorry Tambo but it DOES NOT look right with others wearing that number). It's just SO wonderful to see the Russian Rocket now even if he hasn't laced up his skates in years (heck if he was still had that one knee, he still skates circles around Raymond =P).

He was such an amazing player, it 's too bad the way he left. If he didn't demand to leave Vancouver, I'm positive that the Canucks would have retired his number 10

People who think Pavel Bure was a sellout need to do a bit of reading, our own organization tried to screw him over a number of times - it's a mystery to me as to why he didn't demand a trade earlier. I loved the guy growing up and naturally hated him when he left, but the more I read about what we tried to pull on him the less I started to blame him for his actions towards the end of his Canucks career. Legend.

Bure should have been treated better. If he had, and didn't have those knee injuries, he could've played 20 years and be a supporting player on the Canucks run in 2011, win the Cup and retire after This should've been his retirement interview instead.
