This is why I love world quests in Genshin. The gritty past we learn, the downfall of civilizations or tragedies on certain individuals, and the hope they try to find or finding closure by meeting with us travelers as if intertwined by fate. o7 to Cassiodor or Monsieur Os, Remus, and the innocent Remurians. Also another tear-jerking OST to add in my playlist.

​@@morse2511 as someone obsessed with ruined places, I will try to explain my view: It's a really broad concept that can symbolise lots of things, from the passage of time to how people and the world around change. Also, you don't need to create the entire civilization to make us players believe it exists in game, which is practical. But from a narrative point, I think they use this concept to both show us the sad beauty of ancient worlds and try to make us wonder what those ruined buildings once held and what they witnessed. It's ironically a really human and emotional concept and at least to me, it makes me feel amazed at the beauty of what we can do and our own world. Littered too with ancient lives. After all, we must protect all that's beautiful in this world.

Dragonspine, Seirai/Tsurumi island, Chasm, Chenyu Vale, Vourukasha Oasis, King Deshret... all flesh out Teyvat way better than the Archon Quests and the main storyline. Too bad people are too busy bitching about Aranaras to actually explore them.

we can all agree that this quest was one of the most beautiful thing to both grace our ears and eyes

Here's something fun to try: after you repair the aqueducts (and I think complete the world quest), when you return to this map and try to swim through the 'strings' of the aqueducts, they actually produce harp sounds! The further up (closer to the palace) you swim, the higher the notes are.

For me, remus reminds me of deshret. Both wanted the best for humanity but took one wrong step, and they destroyed their own empire. Deshret was lucky he had rukkhadevata helping him to protect his people.

Remus was a sweetheart through and through but the records wrote him off as some lunatic tyrant (Definitely blaming Boethus/Phobos and Errinyes for spreading propaganda).

I love that the Requiem doesn't sound sad- it sounds like a celebration and one that's full of hope for a better future.

The best thing about 4.6 update is this world quest but sadly only few players actually care about the world quest.

Cassiodor doesn't deserve death, it's too painful to visit this locations without him, he was always near and mihoyo cruelly taken away him.

I have a fear of underwater and gigantic creatures, never in my life would I thought I’d cry on a cutscene like this and not out of fear

Remuria's main themes symbolizes the redemption of Remus and liberation of all the Remurian souls from their immortal bodies Remuria, Remus and everybody involved represent a great tragedy and sadness but now, they also represent the end of a tragedy, redemption, liberation and a new beginning Its celebration for freedom and a new life

Genshin Dev Should add These World Quests to the Archon quests, it would be much better for the story

I honestly cried to the music of this quest. This is the first world quest to legit make me cry. This quest was done beautifully and with so much love.

Remus was genuinely cared for Remuria and its people. I wish we could have been able to meet his spirit or something but anyway. He was a great God.

My favorite sub-region in the game. It’s just so peak. The style is based on the Romans and has amazing architecture. The music is just emotional banger after emotional banger. And the characters are amazing. Both Cassiodor and Scylla are 2 of my favorite NPCs in the game, alongside Jeht and Ruu. And for a character we only got to see tiny snippets of, Remus was actually a pretty nice guy. Willing to die for his people, same as Egeria, same as Focalors, same as Rukkhadevatta.

The whole scene gives Sky Children of Light vibes

This is literally one of the most stunning quests I've ever played in a game. So beautiful, well-written and wonderful. Alongside Sorush world quest and the Narzissenkreuz quesline, this is the best in Genshin 🙏🏻

I just finished this quest and now I feel empty again. There is just that feeling of emptiness after finishing long world quests in genshin.

I almost cried at the second one. It's so beautiful and nostalgic

i remember when the enkanomiya quest came out and people were saying it was a crime that the quest wasnt voiced and two years later here we are again :,) made me cry this was def one of the better quests they have released for sure

I started this quest because I was farming for Arlecchino's mats but I finished it in one setting because of how beautiful it was 💝

"Genshin bad" because NPC quests are made of 70% useless dialogue and 25% boring puzzle-solving gameplay and 5% interesting storytelling.

This scene was so beautiful, when it unfolded on my screen, I was like damn... if this was like the end quest of Genshin, I wouldn't even be mad. It felt that perfect. tbh I was just trying to collect the adorable cat avatar I didn't expect to be floored by beautiful music and elegant cutscenes

This almost brought me to tears because it reminded me of my childhood

What a beautifully perfect harmony! This music brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this, it becomes far more potent if one bothers to learn the context of its creation. Well done hoyo!

Best world quest i enjoy alongside GAA. It's so magical and this is why i love genshin in the first place. Tbh i forgot for a while why i played this game straight for 3 years and getting burnt out. Now i come back and experience this world quest and unlocked everything in fontaine and actually I'm having a blast playing this game again!

The harmony in this quest is so good Paimon’s voice became bearable afterwards

What's funny is when you miss even one of those quick time events, the cutscene will keep resetting the phrase choppily til you get all of them in that phrase right. How do I know? Embarassingly, I missed 2. Fun Fact: Swimming through the strings after the World Quest will still faintly play notes.

There is a actual drink in Penacony called Baal's Royale and it is mentioned it was created because the IPC discovered a ancient Planet named Tavyet which has history that predates the birth of some Aeons. The drink is based on one of the stories found in Tavyet's history being the story about Ei and her sister.

So mihoyo....you give us these beautiful epic world quests for each new region, but you can't pay voice actors to do them? It still boggles my mind. You could at least do the single overarching world quest as well as the archon quest for each region. This one definitely deserved that. So did the aranara quest.

a lot of quests absolutely d e s e r v e to be voiced but i don't think players would appreciate the increased size of the game in their storages, heck a lot of people are already complaining at how big genshin is, and even with hoyo already trying to reduce the size, it still isn't enough but hey instead of voices, at least we got banger music
