OMFG!!! Thank you so much for this. The canon instructions are completely useless, just spent ages in online chat with canon support guy who couldn't help me (you just can't get the staff these days) best he could do was take my details and ask the relevant team to get back to me 2 days ago and nothing. Was chatting to a friend about it who suggested checking for KZread vids. Can't believe I didn't think of it! So quick simple and easy when you know how! will remember to check KZread first next time I'm in this situation! Lifesaver!

Thanks for your good instruction It was very simple and it works fine for me. Why do not Canon have this simple steps in the manual? To cennect the printer to your local net should be one of the first step.

I fixed using direct wifi, after that password is generated and you can connet phone to regular wifi of printer in order to allow the app to print.

Very useful movie. The WPS button on router is not mentioned in official Canon manual.

That Just don't work. It Is possibile the printer Is not trying to connect to the correct wifi? Unlickily I cannot turn off wifi of neighvbours

Check the website of your router! I have it there under wifi.

I don't have a WPS button to push 😢

Canon guidelines are not good at all,. I have had 2 Canon printer/scanners. Very poor quality, everytime error, they didn't catch the laptops, everytime I had to download drivers, often they said ink was almost over (even when it was still full). I won't buy a Canon device anymore
