Perfect thank you! I moved and couldn't possibly remember how I originally set up this print so many years ago. This video was exactly what I needed. And even though I used my iPhone to set it up, it was able to print from my computer too without any further set up.

April Villada yea but it only connected to the windows laptop, it doesn’t connect to any Apple devices whatsoever, for me at least

Whew!! I am so happy I found this video! We got a new 5g router yesterday, and after getting it all setup on our tvs, I spent the rest of the day until 2 a.m. trying to connect my Canon MG3500 printer, and finally gave up and went to bed. Found your video this afternoon, and what an easy setup! I can't believe how simple it was nor can I believe that CANON did not show this on their troubleshoot website, or if they did, I never could find it! Thank you!!

Oh my GOD. THANK YOU. Gave up years ago on this because I was never able to find the printer w/ my PC. Now finally....

This is from Canons official website and it worked for me. Your have to enable the wireless LAN settings, most printers will be disabled which is why many people are having the problems. If your power button is flashing instead of the blue WiFi light or 'Cannon' isn't showing in the available networks, follow these steps. Move your printer as close to your wireless access point/router as possible, ensuring that there are no devices that may be causing an interference. 1. Press and hold the STOP button and release it when the Alarm lamp flashes 21 times. This will initialize the machine settings. 2. Next, please turn off the printer, unplug the power cord and leave it out for at least 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on. 3. Once the printer comes back on, please press and hold the Wi-Fi button, then release it when the ON lamp flashes. 4. Press the COLOR button, then the Wi-Fi button in this order. The wireless LAN setting of the printer is now enabled. Please also download the 'canon print inkjet/selphy app' from the play store and follow instructions. Hope this helps!

I had changed my WIFI network with TP-Link EAP245 WIFI Access points which do not have WPS function, I had set this up with different SSID's There was no Canon instructions showing how to change my Canon MG3650 SSID from the old SSID to a new one. I had spent hours trying to find a solution to connect the printer over WIFI until finally stumbling on this guide. With this guide I was able to connect to the printer and change the SSID Using Iphone Canon Print App using Check/Change Setup > Network Setup select the Printer SSID and then change the connection to my TP-Link SSID. Thank you very much for sharing

To everyone who struggle to get flashing WiFi light Long press WiFi button and then the power button start to blink Now press on the color button once and then again press on WiFi button once .. you will see the WiFi light blinking now Go to WiFi and search for the printer name and it will be displayed there My printer model - MG3600

So to be clear you do need to have wifi in order to print from your phone?? You can’t just connect your phone to the printer and expect to print w/o the connection to a wifi signal correct?? Or do they give an option to connect w/o a wifi connection?

Like many in the comments, my yellow alarm light didn't flash either after holding down the wi-fi button,.. so I eventually figured this one out using my iPhone after I downloaded the Canon Printer App... Hold the wi-fi button down until you see power button flash. Then tap COLOR button, then wi-fi button again. The wi-fi blue indicator should start flashing. Go to the app and look for "Canon_ij_xxx" SSID then connect to it. Once you are connected on your phone, then you can walk through the steps to connect it to your home router. Once it connects to the router, you will then be able to connect to it over the wireless network. I am able to print to it using my apple devices (macbook, iPhone, iPad) and Windows PC.

I have tried to follow these instructions, but when I connect to the printer in my iPhone's wi-fi settings, the screen tells me that there is no internet connection. After that, the Canon Print app can't find the printer when setting it up. I have tried to do the factory reset beforehand, but still no luck. Anyone has any idea why it's not working?

I bought a new printer of this model which I had used 8 years and I still love it. However since I'm using it at college, I am not in control of university's wifi. I couldn't connect them properly and making me so stressed. I can only use my printer via my laptop.

Does anyone have an issue with borderless prints? It severely reduces the quality on plain paper vs non borderless. There is some sort of bug

I have problem connecting my printer to wifi when choose my router it comes out automatically connect rather than asking my home network password. i believe its the security router problem setting need to be openned on my own line internet website for allowed the printer to connect, so i rather connect my printer canon pixma e560 to my phone mobile data and temporary im setting to forgot my home network router and connect only to my mobile data other phone and its works well, it doesnt work while im connect to 2line network, to be clear my samsung are the mobile data and sharing the network with my iphone & printer)

You’ve got to set it up on a laptop first on your local WIFI and then you can download Canon app on your smart-devices which will find the printer 🖨 to use

The phone will copy the password over to the printer.
