I love this. When I was younger I loved playing viola. Then I started to feel it was forced because I went to lessons all the time. I began to hate playing the viola and I haven’t been playing in almost 2 years. I wasn’t confident in myself to try again, but this song played by an amazing violist just brings the memories back. I hope I can start to play again because I enjoy playing it. To feel confident to play an instrument I love. Omg same I always played the violin school but I stopped because of the pandemic and I really love the violin and I just don’t think I’m good at it, but I love the violin so much how it’s sounds and the viola, both are very beautiful instruments you should start again Believe in yourse😊lf, I want to start to but I’m scared to not do good like I use to

I didn't even know the Viola existed as an instrument until I went to learn violin. My teacher got me to hold a violin and said it looked silly because I'm tall and have long arms. She suggested I try viola and while I'm still very much a beginner, I just like the sound of the viola more.

I agree, I don't play either violin or viola (I do play a few other instruments), but in my opinion viola sounds a bit better generally. Warmer, fuller, deeper. Not as bright. However, I've also noticed violins produce more variety in sound - on just on the same instrument - than the more consistent warmness of the viola. Perhaps that is why the violin is more used? It's versatility? anyway, both cool instruments.

I’ve played the violin for 1 year, and I’m not even an expert. But now I’m learning the viola, and I think it fits perfectly for me. I love the violin, but when it comes to viola… LOVE IT! Deep, mellow sounds really calm me down, and I think viola is the best choice for me. I’m proud to be able to finally learn viola, and I have been playing it for 1 month. Beautiful instrument. It’s truly a shame it’s not as popular as the other instruments.

I’ve been playing violin for a year, and I can agree! I’m thinking about also learning viola once I get to the point where I no longer need lessons for violin.

My Viola is sitting in my hall, untouched for almost a year. I’ve been listening my to Viola music all night and god it’s beautiful. I had one bad Viola instructor and I left it, but I want to get into it again. Wish me luck 😅❤

Idk why this is so nostalgic and comforting almost like childhood Ik it’s weird but idk how to explain it edit: I was looking through some of my really old toys from when I was a baby/kid and I found one of the toys that was battery operated and when I put on the batteries and press the toys stomach it started playing this song that’s why this felt nostalgic

The viola is underrated. It has a remarkable pitch and it stands out the most for string instruments. It’s pitch is higher than the cello, by one octave exactly, so it doesn’t create a mournful sound. Violins are fine, but sometimes the notes can get too high. And it creates a squeaky effect. I love the viola, even though I play the cello. I which I can switch to viola. ❤

Agree completely. The other unsung hero of stringed instruments is the Viola Da Gamba (Jordi Savalls' instrument)

I love how she plays the viola stylishly. I see most people who play the viola don't or put too much dramatic expression, but this, this is a masterpiece, this is in the middle of the scale of dramatic expression scales. I also like your viole it looks so cool and neat!
