Any thoughts on the Canon 24-70 f/4 IS? Or a particular reason why the sigma would be a better option? I know it has been a while since this has been posted :)

I know, this is an older camera. We asked people what cameras they wanted tutorials for, and they wanted to see the 6D and D750. They're still current, very popular, and they pre-date this video format. So, at the request of hundreds of people, we made these tutorials.

Thank you Tony & Chelsea, I just bought mine (Canon 6D) a week ago purely because of the price point and entering into full frame. I'm really loving it!!

Mahler8 I guess it depends on what you are using it for, in terms of full frame value nothing in the market that I know off right now. I just love how great this works with ISO and low light. winner for me.
Under very sad circumstances I have become the proud owner of a 6D and a wealth of lenses and other equipment. I have an uncle that has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and he wanted to give me his camera equipment before he passes. Up until now I have really only dabbled in photography, always meaning to knuckle down and do the home and field work to get the most from the hobby. I want to do my uncle's incredible generosity and kindness justice by using the camera and equipment properly and your excellent video has given me the start I needed - Thank you

I have been taking pictures since I was a kid with an old brownie, then to 35 mm manual then to film now to a Canon 6D. I am 69 years old and I still love learning new things and you taught me some very good things in this video. You’re an excellent teacher, you’re very natural, and you know your stuff. Thank you very much.
I just bought a Canon 6D secondhand, and I can't tell you how grateful I am for this video. Excellent presentation, extremely well-thought-out, and very informative. Thank you very much!
even though i already know the overviews and such of the camera, it's nice watching these videos. who agrees with me?

Yes! There's always more to learn, and we never know where or when it will be revealed. Even though I have been shooting 41 years I learn things watching this channel. Everyone's knowledge [and skill] has gaps. Tony and Chelsea helped me find several of mine.
Been eying on this camera for almost 9 years. Saw this back in highschool. Now, employed. Finaly got the spare cash to buy one. Got a second hand for just 375 dollars. What a steal.
Tony, I hope you read this. But I find your videos very informative. Photography was always a hobby of mine, I don't have a school to learn this stuff from since I study economics. Your videos are a tremendous help for me to become a better photographer. I love taking pictures, more than anything in this world. I learned all the basic and more "advanced" stuff from your channel; Like histograms, lenses, bodies, how to frame, etc... This message is simply a small thank you for that. I love how informative your videos are, very well done and put together. Please keep doing this, I'll watch every upcoming video of yours. If it's 10 hours or 20 seconds, I will probably watch all of it. Thank you!

I cannot express my gratitude for this video fully enough- huge thanks! You've distilled the info in the rather baroque Canon manual into clear, concise, logical, easily-assimilable blocks. This is definitely one of the best how-to videos- of any type- I've seen on KZread. Really grateful for your effort here, if only because I will never again use anything but back button focus. Chapeau, as we say in the old country!
Thank you for uploading 6D menu tour. I bought this camera couple of months before. And I am really happy with this. This is an awesome camera. And never face problems with 11 focus points. I just click the photo and results are outstanding.
I love when my camera beeps Tony. That focus confirmation makes me happy and totally let's everyone else know that they better give me some super fake smiles man.
You guys are my favorite! Always learning sooo much from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! An hour and a half long video like this couldn't be more interesting!!! Time flied so fast!
Thanks for taking the time to provide the community with a FREE video. Great work!
Great that you offer such extensive reviews for free and take up your time to edit and make them presentable
Yes! Finally one for my camera!! Great video!
I just bought myself a Canon 6D , so this video was very helpful! Your tutorials are so good & easy to follow along. thank you!
You are a legit Canon Jedi, thank you for your knowledge, watching the first 30 minutes have been invaluable and I have learned so much!!!!
Thanks Tony, that was fantastic. I've had my 6D for a year now and love it, even with its few shortcomings. Your tutorial was great because it showed me real life features, like how to get quickly into the different autofocus modes and how useful the "Q" button is. Gonna go out and try out my newly learned tricks.
Great video, I have had the 6D for years, I know all the setting but your description still provides clarity and insight.
I got my 6D a couple of weeks ago and found the tutorial very helpful in getting me started. Thanks Tony.
This video is insanely helpful! Thank you so much!! You made the learning experience so easy and effective.
Ive been using a t3i for 7-8 years ( a year or two 8 years ago to film skateboarding with a rokinon fisheye and just recently to get photos while riding motorcycles). I just picked up a 6d and this video is beyond perfect to learn from. Will definitely go through more and more of your videos. THANK YOU
I have the 6D and absolutely love it. Thank you.
Thanks Tony for these resources. I bought my first full frame 6D against the newer 6D Mark2 model. I have watched your Canon 6D Overview tutorial and can honestly say you’re very knowledgeable and this is the manual Canon should have included in the box. I have now purchased the PDF version of your “Stunning Digital Photography” book and I’m blown away at how good the book is. Thank you firstly for helping me to learn to use my 6D properly and only in a day and secondly for the rewarding photography journey I will now embark on with all the help from your books and guidance.
You're an unbelievable tutor and for FREE! SO SO SO SO grateful for you and this video. Super informative. Why even go to school when I can just learn from your videos.
What a superb lecture this is! It is more than rare to find such an interesting explanation on any subject on KZread. It takes time to find the right documentation for any subject. This one is the best. I have no hesitation to give 10 out of 10 points for this great performance and knowledge. Well done.
I'm so glad I found this video and this channel. Thank you so much Tony.
Thank you so much for this video! I just purchased a used EOS 6D. Fantastic camera and I'm learning to really use it. Your tutorial was extremely helpful.
I have a canon 6D and your video had answered some of the questions I have been trying to figure out. I still have a lot I need to learn. I will keep checking out your videos.
Thanks Tony and Chelsea, I purchased this camera as a Christmas present and found this video really useful and informative. Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you. I learned more in an hour of your tutorial than an afternoon of Canon's guides.
Awesome video Tony thank you. I just bought the 6D it's my first full frame. I had a Rebel T5 before this, your video helped immensely.
Thank you Tony! I have a 6d and learned some new tips today. Your explanation is so easy to understand.
It's a fantastic camera. Glad you guys did a video, there isn't much content related to it in particular. I know it inside and out at this point but for anyone looking for an affordable full frame you can't beat the image quality.
Thanks Tony . I have been shooting my 6d for a few years now but I still picked up a few useful pointers from this . Good work .
I have been using this camera for years and just found out about the diopter. You are a life saver!!!!
Thanks for this. I've had my 6D for more than three years, and still learned things.
thanks dude! headed to Iceland in 2 days..just bought this camera used...your video will be perfect to get up to speed!
Upgraded from a Canon 5D that lost its mirror. Thanks for all this info. I am much more of a visual learner so your videos are a great help.
Thanks for this! I just got my 6D and I love it, but learning a new camera just by feeling things out can be a bit rough. This is great!
Thank you so much, this is a very useful video for me. I bought 6D for two months and this video came as savior. I got your book SDP and helps me a lot.
Glad to see this! The 6D is by far the most bang for the buck you can get in photography. Its sensor is phenomenal. And that center focus point is DOPE.
@kuchabhi
2 жыл бұрын
It is. But on focus, only the center focus point works in most conditions. Other focus points are iffy.
you guys put so much work into your projects! much appreciated!
so helpful- thanks for putting this together! Just bought a used 6d and getting up to speed and this was great.
Very well presented. Given all the possibilities and situations I can really get into this. Thank you
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. I’ve never been good at reading how to do something technical, I need to see it while I do it, and I was utterly lost trying to figure out how to work my “new” (to me) camera. This has helped tremendously! I look forward to watching your other videos.
Absolutely super appreciate this video it's got so much information I just picked up a 6D mark 1 and you've answered so many questions I had I strongly recommend watching this video
I have been looking at buying this camera for concert photography for the past 5 months Am now convinced it will cover the job as I have a lot of festival work coming up
Killing it with this review! Great stuff, very informative, thanks Tony!
Thank you so much for making this video. I recently upgraded from APS-C to Full sensor, and what a huge difference in low light situation. I had the opportunity to purchase the 6D mark II, but there wasn't any ISO performance improvement over the Mark I, so I am very happy with my 6D. I really hope Canon can up their game related to all the quality issues with their newer Full frame cameras.
Love the table of contents! Super helpful. Great video.
Thank you so much for an honest and detailed review of camera and lens. Have just bought both the 6D and sigma lens based on your recommendations and review.
I am not a pro, just a hobbyist but I have been using Canon DSLRs for years. I like to watch Tony's tutorials before a vacation or a family get together so I can follow along with my cameras and get back up to speed and get some good pictures. I find these videos extremely helpful and useful.
Tony, thanks for taking the time to make this, very good!
Love your video clips Tony! The way you describe what you're talking about is brilliant, so informative...About to head to Egypt with my 6D !! Cheers
I bought a 6D recently and this vid is great, highly informative, great work Tony , you are a champ
This is great! I posted a link on the Canon 6D Facebook page. There's always someone posting getting a new 6D. I've had mine for a year and this was so helpful. Thanks so much Tony.

Thank you so much for this review, i used this camera in a wedding photography and must say that now i know about 6D and in coming events will keep in my mind all of it's options . :)
Thanks for the excellent tutorial Tony. I just purchased a condition 9+ 6D for the express purpose of astrophotography. Your tutorial provided some great insight.
This video was very informative, I really think I’m going to upgrade from my 70D. Thank you so much, Tony!
I have paired my 6d with prime 200 mm f2.8 & oh boy it gives really stunning results.... detail and bokeh are so amazing..
Great video with very clear information. Just what I need. Thanks.

Thanks you Tony ! Great info as I just bought the 6D Mk ii (upgrade from the original 5D)
Nice video. It goes into basic fundamentals of photography rather than just being strictly a camera overview. I have had the 6D for over a year now and definitely it is a cut above the 70D. Especially for still subjects, street photography and landscapes. And I did learn something from the 25 minutes that I viewed; exactly how to use the diopter...thanks! Oh, also need to mention I checked out the first few wanderlust travel videos and they are very well done!
best explanation i have ever seen. well done! thx
Perfect timing Tony, just picked one up with the Sigma lens. Thanks mate.
This is the most efficient and well presented theme I have ever seen in my life I must absolutely congratulate you Not a single word wasted No so this so that or constant umming I have just subscribed Your a one off Brother I’m also going to purchase this camera , I’m a beginner and you have produced a complete guide to using this great camera I just want to thank you so much Tony Superb !!!!!!
Awesome vid! Had my 6D for a year or so, but still had some things I learned in here. Note for people looking for a better deal on the batteries, look for the "accessories kit" for canon to go on sale, often it's less than just the battery on its own, and then you can usually sell the rest of the kit for a bit to recoup even more. :)
Amazingly informative, thank you!
Tony and chelsea! You are both very knoledgeable about all these things, i am very impressed with it all. I started with film cameras, but do have one or two digital cameras. I even did a course with new york institute of photography base in brighton in uk, during 1980s. Even sold some images to an agency all on film. But digital i am not so hot on apart from basic things, thats why i use film mostly i know how it works. Thank you for doing these videos they are very helpfull.
Awesome, I just moved from aps-c to full frame with a 6d purchase. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you very much Tony. Your tutorial is the best!
Just got handed one of these boxed and instead of reading the manual found your video. A lot of the stuff I know, but a lot of new stuff and importantly where to find stuff in the menu and on the body. 31 minutes in hit pause because I wanted to say thanks for such a well produced and informative video.
I just bought the Canon 6D and the 85mm 1.8 canon lens because of this video Huge thankyou for taking the confusion out of my latest purchase
Great video thanks for taking the time to do this free video
