i would say that i prefer to have flip screen than 2nd SD slot card

I'm shooting multi-million dollar homes with my 6d. . .just got the 6dII. . love it so far. . . .the pop out screen, touch screen focus. . and the electronic horizontal leveler with added vertical axis leveler is the bomb for real estate photography where absolute level is absolutely needed.

I never understand why ppl say when u shot professional. your camera doesnt make u a professional. a professional will use any gear he has and master it i use a 6d mark ii and i love it. its not the body its the glass thats most important.

Appreciate the time taken to look at the files, that's what I'm after and is the best way to compare actual shots. Both cameras are great. 6D II is lighter and suits my amateur status better, Glass is the area to never back off from cost, you pay for good glass and there is no substitute.

When I was thinking from moving from APS-C to Full Frame. The videos of Yours made me decide with 6D Mark II. I am a old holdover from Film. The Crop Sensors were good, but I miss the full frame. Your videos helped a lot in my decision. Thanks.

Great video series!

Not sure why people are slamming this video. I take it for what it is - a general and practical comparison between two very good cameras. The idea is that spending thousands extra on a camera will not improve image quality by thousands of times. As soon as one has to zoom in at 100% to notice a difference between images, there is NO PRACTICAL DIFFERENCE. Even if the same settings, lenses, etc. were used, it would not really matter when evaluating these two particular cameras.

I am using 6d 2 and loved it.

95% of the time, you will not notice the lack of some features on the 6d II as a hobby shooter. So for me, the vary angle screen is way more important than the missing card slot or the poor dynamic range. When it is too contrasty, I just bracket my shots and save myself a thousand bucks for a tiny bit more time I need in post processing. Professional use is a different story though.

I have both of these, albeit through good deals, and happened to find them both used in excellent condition. I have to say, the 6DII paired with the 24-70 F2.8 is like having life on Easy Mode when it comes to photography. It is a KILLER combo. Not saying the 5DIV cant keep up, because it absolutely does in its own way, but the 6DII just has this rich color brightness about it when they are both on the same settings and Neutral setting. They are both incredible cameras.

The most important drawback of the 6D mark ii IS that the focus point only covers 30% of the full frame!! So it may as well be a crop sensor . You're limited in composition moving around that foucus point

with the new EOS R now available - whats best (using the same L lens across all of these) mainly photography (street,landscape,portrait) EOS R 5D mk4 6D mk2

This is not the best review I've seen on this channel. Why bother comparing the same cameras if you're not going to use the same lenses and settings? If you're shooting professionally then I think you'll purchase the tools that give you the best quality. Camera features and glass are also big factors. I purchased the Mark IV for landscape photography and i'm extremely happy with my purchase.

to me it this review is really important because i realized that people are talking trash about how bad 6d mark ii is but in reality there is a really tiny difference compare to Mark IV which is double the price! of course your hating because you spend 4K on the markIV and you dont like the fact that with a good lens 6D Mark II can take photos at the same quality..but for me this review it was what i really needed! I also dont understand what you are asking them to do..to use mark IV a 4K$ camera with a 2$k lens vs 6dmark ii a 1K$ camera.. that would not make any sense at all

This is ridiculous. No way you or anyone else could distinguish one camera from the other if you didn’t know which picture came from where. Both cameras area excellent and produce beautiful pics. Can not see a difference. The difference is in the handling, feel and controls.

WarChortle if u use sony lenses its better bcause when u use metabones on a7rii the focusing isnt always good..i used it but i mostly used it in studio so i use to switch to manual focusing...which is gr8 on a7rii bcause of focus peaking

I'm so lost! The more reviews I watch, the more confused I get on what camera to pick up! I had the sony a6000 with a zeiss lens, but I don't want it anymore, I don't like the layout of sony, or the images it produces. I tried fuji xt20 for a few weeks, I liked it, but wasn't blown away with the photo quality. I'm looking for those beautiful focused buttery shots, like I mostly see from canon. Can someone please recommend an amazing quality set up of body and lens, I really only need 1-2 lenses, for travel/portrait photography. One that won't be too bulky/heavy, like the canon 5dIV is!

70-200m f.4 is good for everything

I sold my 6D2 and picked up the 5D4 for $2499.00 in 2020. I'm not a pro but I've shot manual from the start. Landscape night and day. Shutter speed, weather seal, and having a more robust body on the 5D4 are important me. I don't miss the flip out screen and the 5D4 just feels right in my hands. And I'm not sweating not having the mirrorless system because I couldn't afford all of lenses anyways.

Which is the best combo? ... your opinion 1. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV 4K Wi-Fi Digital SLR Camera & 24-70mm f/4L IS USM + 70-200mm f/2.8L Lens or... 2. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV 4K Wi-Fi Digital SLR Camera & EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM with 70-200mm f/2.8L Lens

If people were using 5d miii in studio till now ...they can use 6d mii too...i use it ....i use 5ds too i compared both in studio lighting....if i show u the images side by side it would be hard to tell which is shot by which camera .....u cn notice the difference only after a some extreme levels

This is good to know because I just got a 6D Mark II (from a 5DMIII). So far, images look almost identical....outside. Gonna year in studio.

With the 3 cameras you had (6D2, XT2, D500), which do you think is best for low light and some sport photography?

5d iv is beast i used both cameras with many lens mark iv is much btr then 6 mark ii but one thing is missing in mark iv which is flip screen.....but 6D mark ii is also a very good camera so for professionals 5d mark iv is good choice

Get the regular 6D. 6D Mark ii is for video

No thumbs up, no thumbs down. You should review in similar conditions, not with different lenses. But the comparison is interesting though. And yes, the acne of the guy was more sharp on the 5d Mk IV LOL

The articulated screen is key, for astrophotography, or difficult positions. For me the 6D I is still good enough, it's never occurred to me that I needed more iso, dr, or megapixels. The main thing is to have good shots, and whatever increase the good shots number/score is interesting, like the tamron VR, or having more aperture to avoid too long shutter. A better screen to better see if the shot is good. No articulated screen rules out the 5D Mark IV for me. 6d2 with a great lens looks promising. My 6d1 with an old sigma 85 f1.4 with no VR still amazes me. The real photos are still more important than the gear. So Glass > AF > screen. Or Glass > screen > AF depending on the situation.

What software you use guys in this video?

10-15% difference is nothing, right. I'll better buy extra glass.

Cường Nguyễn both are very equal when it comes to photography but the 6dmkii would be better in video. Dualpixel autofocus as well as flip screen, 4K time lapse, wifi, 60fps etc

strange and wrong way to make comparisons using different exposure settings and different lenses. Even poses in one shot guy looking at the sun in another he is hiding his face with his cap...

I think most of the differences right there are cosmetic and non issues... The 6d II is amazing. Period

There's a pretty good gap in the price range of the 6D Mark 2 and the 5D Mark 4 now. It's about $1500 for the 6D Mark 2 and $3200 for the 5D Mark 4. It looks like the 5D Mark 4 is overpriced by at least $1000 at the moment. Suddenly the 750D and 850D offerings from Nikon look like better choices. Maybe Canon offers great lenses but with their cameras they are way behind in their development compared to their competitors, but keeping their prices too high for too long at the same time.

What I could notice is that the 5d mark iv has a more nude lens and I think that is one of the big differences

Canon 6D Mark II is the best for me ...

dude if you have the money go with mark IV ..just keep in mind that it costs around 1500 dollars more!of course its better ,especially at low light....it depends on your badget

I got a 5D4 after I saw how terrible the 6D2 was for video in your other video. Not that I am planning to shoot videos with it. It's just that I knew Canon was going to find ways to make the 6D2 under-perform in unexpected ways and if I discovered that they did that with something later, I would regret buying the 6D2. Not worth the grief over $1300 when buying a new camera. Thanks for reaffirming that I made the right decision with this video. I do wish that I had that fully articulating swivel screen but I still have Live View and Canon's smartphone app is actually top notch, although not as good as a swivel screen.

For anything but professional work the 6DII is ok but due to the lack of 2 SD card slots I would never take the 6DII and rather go for a 5DIII

why not? u have wi-fi. I am using wi-fi on an old Canon 6D to back-up photos right into the computer. Not a problem.

IQ wise, 5DMIII and 6D are the same, I've shot both a bunch.

The 6d ii is the better buy for any shooter. Flip out screen, pop up flash, as good AF, FF. As a wedding photographer 11 mp is good enough to print an album and wall mount prints. never shoot an entire wedding with a f/1.4 lens. The 24-70 is the wedding or BB lens for any shoot. The 6d iii is going to kill the 5d iv. My 5dii is as good as the 5div it is better the a 20d that was all the rave and my first FF 1D. Buy an 80D or a 90D and a 6D ii you are all set... :) haha

Actually ,people says 6D mkII sucks cuz no 4K , (yeah THATS SUCKKSSS ) But its cheaper its a fullframe camera that provides same quality of photos (6D targeted at photographer more than videast) DUAL AF . And i would say that having a flip Screen ITS SUCH A FUCKING ADVANTAGE (we are so used now ) but yeah i would say its a big features to have compared to 5D mKIV. In a lot of situation i wouldnt be able to shoot photos or will have to put myself on the ground or not comfortable position( wich its okay , but i would say you have way more flexibility) . Dynamic range suck yeah . Its a great full frame camera , but yeah why not adding basic stuff like 4K or a 2.7 k/60 fps . or if its for mostly photographers ( a 2nd sd slot card?). And also why there is so much test about iso . I have never shot max 3200 iso (maybe 1 or 2 time in 6400 ) , if you invest in such a expensive camera you should at least have some 1.4 lense stuff so yeah test in high iso are kinda useless for me

Roro Huc i think the main problem with 6DII is it produces more noise at low iso 100-300 as compared with 6D or even some apsc cameras.

Lens. I printed a wall size image from my 5D Mark II. All these cameras will print beautiful. My 40D made me an 11x14, beautiful. Lenses matter.

Capture one does a much better job recovering the shadows on the 6D2 ... Lightroom destroys these files.

Anyone else think that the 5D IV's noise was actually worse?

Conclusion ... 6d Mark 2 is a great value

You have alot of canon glass. You don't wanna buy some adaptors and loose light through lens from divorcing Canon. Also you need 4k because your clients are also asking for "couple clips" they say. Than get (5D iv) the weird MJPEG codec of canon 🤣 (I'm a canon guy that hurts :( ) so the CPU of 6d mii should be better than the overpriced 5div colouring on render is better on 6d well at least on paper. Would you pay 1600+ for a joystick, 4k video (with an obsolete data hungry codec) better focus. For me no, fuck that. I own 6d m1 that shit got 1 cross focus point. It has paid it self and 3L lenses 3 times for me. I'm not a photographer that's my 3rd job. Mainly I do broadcasting and video editing. Easiest trick in the world if the subject isnt moving alot. Grab focus halfway frame. Shoot. You dont need 61 focus points. How about the MP well If you want to print billboards size pictures and shit like that then buy 5div lol. Great video thanks guys!

stoplossM4 you seem like an ignorant child so let me educate you. First I know many professional photographers in the portrait & wedding world who use the 6d series of cameras. Second my Canon 30d & 40d from over a decade ago had joysticks & I’m sure you wouldn’t describe them as “pro” cameras. Since then the 50d,60d, 70d & 80d as well as Fuji apsc camera’s & many MFT camera’s have them.

Well...for me personally, the 5D was much better , sharper with great focus, and the Colours seemed more true, but the price of the 5D is way out of my league, and my expertise to be honest.... but yep, 5D beats it hands down..to my eyes anyway.

Ridiculous. I just had an image published with the 6D. I shoot paid gigs with a Fuji X100F. It's the photographer that makes a pro camera. I built a business with a 40D.

How does a $2,000 Camera make you a hobbyist and another $1,300 make you a pro? We have shot dozens of fashion shows, weddings and headshots with the original 6D and had numerous images published.

no dude, real pros don't get such cheap crap as a 5d Mark IV, period. The only missing feature that pros need on the 6d range is a dual slot for back up, but a wireless hard disk can auto back up live just as a second sd card does, plus no need to transfer the picks once back home. Haven't tried that myself as I'm not getting paid for shooting but know this works. Other than that, the tilt screen is amazing on the 6D II.

What a moron. Pros were getting the job done without any issues way back with much lesser cameras then the 6DII, if you can't take pro-grade images with a camera like this, then YOU are the problem, the camera is more than capable in the right hands. PERIOD.

NO need for this review - there are a lot of similar stuff in the web already... Little bit waste of time. I owned a 6D2 and returned it for a 5D4...
