I have never heard of a "Mandatory accessory" until now. If it is "mandatory", then maybe Cannon should just include it in the package period.

If it is mandatory as you say, why does cannon make is pay extra for it ? it would make sense that this small item is included with the very expensive Digi Troll 10 set I just purchased.

Thanks for watching the video and thank-you also for your purchase of the Digi Troll 10's! I'm certain that they will help you catch more fish for many years to come. While referring to the Cannon Retro Ease, I did -with tongue firmly in cheek- use the term "mandatory" and while you can certainly use the downriggers without them, I believe that this inexpensive accessory is well worth it. *We tried this out finally yesterday and it worked awesome! **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s we put it on our 16 foot aluminum boat and trolled with it. We didn’t catch anything but it was still fun and worked awesome! Can’t wait to use this baby again and hopefully reel in a big ole fish! Very easy to install and set up.*

My Cannon mag 20 dt does NOt have the holes pre drilled in the side...how would I mount the cord stay (cleat )

Just buy Scotty Down Riggers.. The whole boom will lift back to you..
