one of the strongest things about perkeo is it's ability to be copied by bs and BP. if it couldn't be copied it would still be extremely powerful, but it wouldn't be game breaking. u can really see that in these runs where it takes a while to get a copying jimbo

@@drspectred imagine perkeo for wraith only for 10-20 rounds. then cash it out. With early brainstorm and blueprint you probably could be on record pace with just copying hang man.

Love how they actually saw every other rare some multiple times and not a single baron or brainstorm horrid luck in the entire run

I'll reiterate my suggestion from last video: in many of your world record runs you try to find specific spectral cards with Sixth Sense. This always takes a gazillion rounds because there are a *ton* of spectral cards, plus Sixth Sense triggers at most once per round and needs to be continually supplied with new 6s to function at all. So I suggest trying Séance instead of or in addition to Sixth Sense. Devoting two joker slots and more hands and discards to spectral card generation will cost you something, like generating a lot less money. But that seems comparatively inconsequential since you can't really spend extra money until you're done generating the spectral cards you're looking for, anyway. EDIT: Also, Séance can be copied with Blueprint and Brainstorm and Invisible Joker, while neither works for Sixth Sense.

I was hoping he would go for it when he saw it, it would have been fun to watch the spectral cards roll in. I think he didn’t because you really can’t plan to find both. The deck was made to make straight flushes, yes, but with sixes. Plus the spectral and negative copy luck was really, well, unlucky. Can’t really plan on low rolling for 18 rounds

@@blondiebear42 Was it unlucky, or is the Sixth Sense plan just too unreliable? You start with four 6s so you can only generate three spectral cards until you have to get started on the mini game of adding additional 6s to the deck, so you generate

@@blondiebear42 One reason he found insufficient Death cards was that he prioritized keeping spectral cards in hand in the hope they would turn negative, and thus he couldn't generate as many tarot cards as his deck was capable of. And again, Séance completely sidesteps this 6s problem entirely.

But like wouldn't an ante 1 pareidolia go perfectly with this kind of run?

@@michaelrich2491 It won't jumpstart anything in terms of econ. It would help with scoring a little bit in the first 8 antes, but that's about it - and he never had trouble with that. He's just getting awful RNG on this run :(

It would be good for sure. You wouldn’t have to worry about scoring from all of the X mult from canio, saving money on hands and scoring jokers. But for deep runs ante 20+ you’d much rather meet the harder criteria first: getting the right spectral cards to be copied and fixing the deck quickly. With all of the money we generate early we can always find a paredolia. But as some others said the value from it would be fairly inconsequential. A big part of these world record attempt runs are to not overshoot the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Antimatter is just another blank voucher for BU. I swear to god with how often he forgets about the extra joker slot lol

A natural negative DNA would be yes, but using an ectoplasm would either be no change in hand size or minus hand size

Why do u value cryptid that much higher than the one that gives u random face cards while also destroying one. Isnt it better in the long term?

It could definitely work for a little while, but later on, he specifically needs steel kings with retriggers to survive, which cryptid provides. Because he'll be immolating, he doesn't have control over what gets removed either. He could use magic hat (like he mentioned), and while this would have the same problem to a degree, he has more control over how much of his deck he fills with unhelpful cards

It's an absolute reach, but on that second to last round, you could have double-Immolated, no? Would've refilled your hand so you could discard one extra king for the ten bucks, and might've bought you an extra round on not having Immolate copied when you needed one more Cryptid. But at that point the run was kinda boned already, so...

This seed is absolutely trash

I can feel the frustration on this one. I know what it feels like when the RNG is not in your favor, and RNJesus did not smile on you this run. While Antimatter and Palette are nice, It seems to me that what you really hope for are Overstock Plus and Reroll Glut to help out with finding the jokers you need.

Mm, with the right copy setup you could feasibly get 4 immolates a round. Getting 20 cards from just magic trick... tricky but not entirely infeasible? You would absolutely need paradolia, and also mime, and eventually baron, and you would not make it forever without copying cryptids

Actually damn big baron is hard with that many cards added to deck. Youd need a really big buffer of kings to be able to consistently get a hand with no red steels (so you can safely immolate) 4 times a round, and also a hand of all red steel kings to score late game. Think DNA may be mandatory just for this...

1:10:14 its still slim, but dumping Gift Card for Parking here could have given you a chance. Your temperance value was already locked in, and Mime means youre at least getting a few rerolls more for the next two rounds. Need to diversify those investments

When using Gift Card, it's worthwhile to stack up "a little extra" in case your Jokers end up being sold and replaced later and/or you get the discount Vouchers which reduce the Sell price of your Jokers.

@drspectred with Mime up top, you would be getting loads of parking money (for a couple rounds at least) to dig for an answer and sustain the run, no? I believe that you had already acknowledged imminent failure after this ante, so one could say that you adding sell value for a future you'd already admitted was unlikely to happen. Or my math/logic/memory of events is flawed and I owe you an apology

I could hear the frustration in your voice when the right spectral cards just would not show up. So annoying!
