You have to appreciate the guy. He has beaten UK fighters but not controversially or by a split decision. He targeted Smith's arm and turned his bicep into a balloon and he just permanently damaged Saunders face which will require surgery and a titanium plate over his orbital bone. The guy is a weapon in that ring. Great boxer and ring IQ but also dangerous and can hurt you with one punch... the perfect boxer.

@@michaelrowley941 That fight would have never have happened without Hearn. He has basically in the past few years made boxing exciting and interesting again when it was all but forgotten about. Yes you need great fighters, but they need marketing correctly and the platform to perform. Eddie understands the fans, the fighters and the game. He's creating a long lasting legacy not just for himself, but also for boxing.

Truly, after watching the fight I was trying to reflect on who gave canelo 'problems'. The only one I remember being able to take the power, was golovkin, and not even to the full extent aswell. Golovkin did back up a bit, as you well should imo. But rn, having a 10 year age gap, I agree with you... Golovkins time has gone. Ggg-canelo 1 is still one of my favourite recent mw fights.

was a good fight, was an even fight too going into that round 8 which canelo absolutely dominated, just a shame bjs had to suffer such an injury, but its a fighting game injuries happen and we all rather not see someones career end when it comes to a broken eye socket or even death occur by being ignorant.. just wouldve been great to see it go to judges or even with a knockout.. respect to both fighters
