    I just will love to see something done about judges in boxing. Let's Fix it once for ever! Maybe having a computer deciding who won the fight, then we probably will have a fair decision in each fight. Is not fair after all the sacrifice and training a boxer have to go through to just sweep' m away like that. Dishonesty is hurting boxing a lot.

    Mate, Same lol. All week I was uhmming and ahhing over how much to put on Bivol 5/1. I felt this had shades of Barrera vs Hamed in terms of the underestimation of Barrera/Bivol - but the Canelo protection scheme - that is the judges- made it hard for me to have full conviction.. I also checked to see what the pros thought and not a single one of them gave Bivol a chance. That was my bad because a lot of these guys are vested in keeping up this "greatness charade" from Canelo.. in the end I did £100 but had I came across this channel pre-fight, I may have got the courage/conviction to do £1000!

    Problem with boxing is that these judges rarely get punished for bad scorecards. Only case I heard was that Ian John Lewis got demoted by British Boxing Board in that Taylor-Catterall fight, where he got demoted from A star to A level judge which I believe it means he can't judge world title fights. This only happened because of the huge backlash over the event since it was for undisputed, Catterall wasn't respected in the buildup as they didn't even have his name on the tickets.

    I see a patern forming in the way Canelo likes to breakdown his opponents so everyone he's fought the last couple years look good the first 5 rds or so, either holding there own or as if it looks like they're doing well but that's just all smoke & mirror's cause Canelo is just feeling you out how strong you are, how powerful you hit, how fast your hands are, what shots you like to throw while at the same time figuring out your timing, your movements & waiting for a weakness a jink in your armor, that opportunity to counter then BANG!

    Big difference between Canelo & Valdez, Canelo is way more experienced & in his prime & it took years of hard work & dedication to become the beast that he is today just cause they are coached by the same trainer don't mean they the same fighter! Simply Valdez is not Canelo & the fight on the weekend against Shakur showed he's nowhere near on the same level he lacks alot of what Canelo has naturally but also his defense & lack of movement at times!

    Bivol & Plant not the same though. Bivol doesn’t level change without throwing a punch nor does he use the philly shell. Bivol seems to mostly rely on a high guard & stepping back as well as leaving his body open. None of Bivols fights would say he’s good enough to beat Canelo nor does he have the experience imo. I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one thinking Dimitry Bivol can beat Canelo Alveroids. I mean I still thinks Canelo has the advantage from those special juiced Mexican hamburgers. Those cows get that special juice. But then again Dimitry Bivol actually has the advantage because he has the height and reach advantage. Also his in and out footwork with that powerful right hand keeps his opponents honest. His defense is underestimated by the way he can control the distance with his footwork.

    It's an WBC title that is an optional 'upgrade' for the WBC title holder offered by WBC. Gives benefit that the franchise champion can't ever lose the franchise title and that he doesn't have to fight mandatories. Big downside is that you have to forfeit the WBC title which the interim champion automatically gets promoted as the new WBC title holder without fighting, Charlo and Devin Haney have been promoted to world champion this way. Because the belt is forfeited, it's hard to fight for undisputed. Loma forfeited his title to become franchise champ before the fight with Teofimo and so that bout was no longer considered undisputed. I guess to become undisputed, the franchise champ would need to face the WBC title holder after getting the rest of the belts to cement that undisputed position, but technically wouldn't get the WBC title after winning which just adds confusion.

  • @funkrates4778

    @funkrates4778

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@FoutsBoxingTheory Well, I agree what we can't have robberies anymore. I don't think anyone would disagree with that other than the person benefiting from a wrong decision. But I had Taylor winning that fight, if only by a round. Serrano did more damage, but boxing is judged round by round. And Katie outboxed the puncher in the beginning. Serrano came back half way through and then Katie went back to counter punching on the back foot. If it were a draw, I think that's fair. And it almost was. People have to understand that in a close fight, you can't have a robbery. If you can't stop your opponent and take it out of the hands of the judges, then that's how the cookie crumbles. Judges are going to weigh things differently, but as long as the fight is close, we can't get upset because one fighter edges it over the other. People throw robbery around too easily. I'll give you an example of what a robbery is: Romero vs Martinez. Now that was a robbery. Undeniable robbery. Another fight that was less one-sided by still a robbery was Chocolatito vs Estrada 2. That was another robbery. But I can't say that Taylor vs Serrano was a robbery. I can't. I was virtually a draw, with Taylor barely edging it. To be completely honest, Eddie Hearn has probably the most fair fights in boxing. He's always having upsets on his cards. People call it the Eddie Curse. From Anthony Joshua to Canelo, the apple cart is always being overturned. But I will tell you whose promotional company is filled with corruption, and that's Top Rank. I have never seen so many wrong decisions given out before from one promotional company. Taylor vs Catterall was a Top Rank card. And you can go back all the way to much earlier fights, such as Bradley vs Manny. Setup fight to make Bradley the "new guy." We saw that with Loma and Lopez (no matter if you thought Lopez won), where Lopez got the benefit of some really off the wall cards. Lopez was being setup to be the new guy. I mean, I could go on and on and on, from smaller fights to huge fights, Top Rank and Showtime/PBC have some of the most ridiculous cards I have ever seen. The promotional company that actually is the most fair is Matchroom/DAZN.
