Candlebox brought me through some hard times during the 90's. Still sounds bad ass and working for me. 13 years clean from the hard shit. Never go back down that road. To all my friends who didn't make it, still love you and think of you often. You are gone but our memories remain. Some good, some bad but there just the same.

I choose their song also for my final moments of this body on this earth. 🌎 They have earned our respect and Eternal love. What a beautiful part of our existence. Godsent and blessed to touch so many lives. Good, & hard times its all living.

Guitarists Peter Klett had the most amazing guitar tone on this album. It was dirty and heavy, but at the same time it was clean and chorused out. Most definitely a wet/dry rig setup. An extremely well produced album.

This song rocks. It should have 10 million views.

I drive a 2000 f150 and it has a tape deck and I still rock my cassettes.. no shame in my game! This album was the soundtrack to my 90s!

Thank you mom, for being a badass mom and listening to this when I was a preteen. You've been gone 25 years this year and I can't listen to the music you introduced me to without thinking of you. I miss you now maybe more than ever.

Reading this brought the feels, I still fortunately have my parents, I hope I had the same impact on my 2 daughters as I blasted a lot of my faves in their presence, hell, they even turned me onto some cool tunes, that I blast on long car rides, to make me smile and think of them. Sorry for your loss long ago, she's with you every time your rocking out, I'm sure of it.

You can definitely introduce your kids to your music, definitely influence them. I have a 19 year old daughter and I definitely influenced her taste in music. She's biracial and looks all black really. People are always surprised I'm her birth mom. But they also assume she'll speak in ebonics and listen to trap music.....but her favourite musician is Peter gabriel....mostly his early stuff. She wears my mom's guns and roses concert tee! Always rocking her combat boots like my mom. It can be done. I know i haven't always been the best mom but when i hear her blasting inxs and Metallica, i know I've done something right. She's also not boy crazy. I don't have to worry about becoming a grandmother any time soon. Shes still.....a good girl....Doesn't drink or smoke. Really good kid. So proud of her

@@randonwatson9701 it's terrible to lose a parent. The anniversary was just over a week ago. September 8th. She was my everything. So much so that my friends were worried for my sanity. In the end, the fact that we were so close made the grieving process a little more bearable. I had no regrets. I was a great daughter to her.

I remember my brother and his friends listening to this cassette tape in our garage working on cars. I was so young. And bc of him and the guys I grew to love this type of music!!!! Good old 90s

Wow what a gem from a sacred era.

My cousin and I saw them at their KISW rising stars show at the Paramount in Seattle. Had to be late 92/early 93. This is by far their greatest tune. Kick ass.

Wow. How have I just discover this song. Such a cool take on a song about a relationship ending. One song for the gym so up-beat and motivational.

60 and still 💜2023! Lead singer amazing to this day! We need nostalgia in these times... remember the good times!!!

Excellent live performers and the self titled album is a masterpiece front to back

Candlebox didn't get the Seattle love like most of the bands that came from that area in the 90s. Way too many people slept on them and it's a damn shame.

thats great. I used to think i wouldn't be happy if i wasn't using. need to be happy with whatever life deals you. I wouldn't be the same without learning some of lifes lesson the hard way. Also it took more than one try. I don't like being a quitter but i have had to kick more than once. I am here today and thankful, the good, the bad and the ugly. Did not think i would see 40 but seen 53 a couple of weeks ago

The 90s was such a golden era of great, fantastic, lasting music. The current crop of pop fuck is beyond weak and forgettable.

I listen to Candlebox and Seattle music most of the time. five thumbs up. oh wait I only have two, lol!!

Great band straight up rock n roll phenomenal guitars and vocals with subject matter that matters.

@Marvin Morawski Pearl Jam is as Grunge as it gets. Candlebox sounds exactly like Pearl Jam. If there was a band that didn’t really fit in the Grunge genre it would be Nirvana, because Nirvana don’t really sound like this. Bands like Alice I’m Chains and Soundgarden we’re just heavier versions of this, but Nirvana didn’t really sound like this.

@@lauramarie1194 Thanks. Yeah I was born in 95. I love them all. My favorites are AIC, Soundgarden, Candlebox, Pearl Jam, & Stone Temple Pilots (even though they’re from Cali). Wasn’t really much of a Nirvana fan though. I like some of their music but not all of it. I always thought Layne Staley & Chris Cornell were way better musicians than Kurt Cobain ever was.

I loved this song 🎧 so much. The arrangements and vibe through out are perfect. The lyrics are perfect. Very strong message in here. Love it so much I sing on karaoke app all the time. It’s one of my favorites to sing. When your doing covers like that. You want to sound close as you can to artist as you can. So that’s what I try in do every time. Such great memories listening to this entire album on cassette back in the days. It never gets old. People freak out sometimes because I’m from the hood. Rocking out singing 🎤 like this on a karaoke app. What’s so odd about it. You enjoy music your own way. Being Native American and Latin is not easy. Loving music like this. People even gotten racist. Because I sing this type of music. A person from my background does sometimes. Forget all the haters. Candle box is for everyone. I’ll always remember there impact on my life.
