Hey so I’m almost a year in and my only noticeable side effects are heavier periods on the first couple of days and hot flashes almost daily (mostly mini ones where I’m not full body sweating). I also would say it’s def hard to lose weight too. Hope this helped!

I was never told by any of my doctor's that Tamoxifen does cause emdometrial cancer. I was told this by a nurse who stopped taking it because of that reason.

Thank you for making this video. It’s really hard finding info for people in our 20s. I had a benign tumor and got a lumpectomy. But they accidentally found something wrong with the tissue around it so now I’m high risk. My oncologist also didn’t recommend getting a bilateral mastectomy because I’m young. It’s pretty frustrating how they keep bring up age and how it should be easier. But I’m planning to get a bilateral mastectomy anyways in a couple of months because I’m too scared to take tamoxifen. Your insight is very helpful and im grateful that you’re putting your story out there. Hope you’re feeling better now and onwards

I am so glad you found this helpful! It does frustrate me when the doctor's tell us what we should or shouldn't do because of our age. I will say i'm am so happy I did the single mastectomy, personally, that was the right choice for me. I also hope you are feeling and doing better now :)

Hi Debbie! I recently got diagnosed with a fibroadenoma based on a biopsy I had. They don’t want to remove it and want to see me in 6 months but of course I’m freaking out and scared of having this in my boob. Did you get a biopsy before the lumpectomy? And if so what did the biopsy diagnose it as?

Hi Ashley. Yes, I got a needle biopsy and they said it was benign. I still wanted to get it removed because it made me paranoid since my mom had breast cancer. And when they removed it, they take some of the surrounding tissue as well and test it again. Then they accidentally found out something wrong with the tissue which made me high risk.

@@debbie6076 ugh this scares me so much! I’m so glad that you were able to find this all out and are able to now do all the preventatives ❤️ I want to definitely get it removed. I’m having trouble finding a surgeon who will remove it which sucks. But I’ll continue to look. When are you going to have your double mastectomy?

Yeah they didn’t want me to remove it at first and would get checkups every 6 months but I told them I wanted it out. They haven’t given me a date yet for the mastectomy. I last spoke with them in Dec and wanted to do it in March since I had a lot of work stuff that needed to be done. But now It’s been hard setting up a date because it’s an elective surgery during covid.

Thank you, for the info. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2021 and after my lumpectomy they started with a shot of lupron and tamoxifen. I was doing good but after 10 months of taking tamoxifen my bones started to hurt so much abd they have changed my medication already three times but it has been even worst. Now they changed to tamoxifen again. Especially my shoulders have been I pain n popping . Also my hot flashes are so bad. I am just tired of feeling like this.

Oncologist prescribed meds for hot flushes, bone pain severe, but tomaxafen the best of all the meds I found, different for everyone, be well

FYI Tamoxifen does not work while taking antidepressants. After I stopped Wellbutrin and it got out of my system the side effects kicked in.

Gosh I dont want any drugs or chemotherapy:( I have double mastectomy, no cancer for now and doctor says that I needed chemoanddrugs. So scary. Sorry for my English.

What type of scan did they do?

I have hormonal breast cancer I done mastectomy but I refuse taking tamoxifen because it effects fertility and I want to have baby
