I agree. I think the rivalry is one of the best in the world. The Americans always push the Canadians to greater levels of their game. The American opponent brings out the best in the Canadians. Amazing match. It still stings for me but great match.

Sid had less than a second from the time he knocked the puck back to Iggy to when he called "Iggy!" to turn around, see the ice, see the play he needed to make, and make that decision. That's pretty incredible. Amazing pass from Iginla to get it to Sid, and Sid knew exactly where he wanted to put that puck. I don't know if any other player sees the ice and can accurately guess what is going to happen next better than Sid. What an amazing job by Iginla to keep up with that and make a great pass in such a quick time.

I was 8 years old when this happened. And I still remember my dad waking me up to watch the game with him on the TV. We lived just outside of Vancouver. It was just the two of us, but it really felt like there were millions around him and I, all getting up and jumping as one. Tearing up right now because I know that this is going to be one of my fondest memories with my dad, and a memory I'll remember my entire life. I come back to this video every few years just to re-live the memory :)

This was such a heartwarming win, almost everyone on Team Canada was playing on rival American teams at the time, but to see them come back together to play for the Country where it all began was amazing

I remember working for the city in a hockey arena... as soon as it went to overtime everyone including the players playing stopped to watch the game in the lobby...

It’s crazy to me that at the time of being in these olympics, Crosby was still pretty young. I’ve never been a fan of Crosby but it’s pretty crazy how in his first five years in the league, he played with one of the best to ever play, Mario Lemieux, won the cup once, made the finals twice and was a part of one of the most memorable goals in hockey history in the fucking OLYMPICS

Well fought game and even though we realistically stood no chance im glad it went down to the wire and into OT. Made it fun to watch and i think Canada deserved the win. I watched this game live 2010 on tv with my parents and a bunch of their friends. I was only in grade 3 and at the time this was the greatest moment of my life lol

2010 was really a nice year, wasn’t it? Having the Winter Olympics as well as having the FIFA World Cup later in South Africa was really a treat.

Actually, my favorite (and I'm speaking as a Pittsburgher here) was Gretzky to Mario to beat the Russians in '87.

This video is just a throw back, seeing all of these guys who are now retired, or older, seeing them in their prime playing was amazing.

As if you'd let us forget. :-P I love our neighbor to the north, but it's somewhat annoying that essentially every Canadian I talk to about hockey will not allow that some Americans can love the game just as much as they do. And trust me, I do. There's no other sport like hockey. I've played it, I've grown up with it, I lived and (mostly) died with it (St. Louis Blues fan). The only championship I've ever gotten to experience was the 96 World Cup US win. Want to talk about something Canadian hockey fans can't understand--try living for hockey your entire life and essentially never getting to experience the euphoria of winning. It's a sad existence for someone who breathes the game.

I still watch this every so often, it's March 2019 and it's as exciting as it was on that day in 2010. The rivalry is awesome and the hockey intense. Simply magic.

I remember watching this live with a few friends in one of their basements while pounding back beers. We all jumped around cheering after Crosby scored that OT goal. Congrats on 500 tonight Sid!

Come back to watch this a few times a year just to remind my self... what true happiness looks like! Perfect game, with the perfect ending!

I LOVED THIS MOMENT IN HISTORY, i was 24 when this happened and it feels like yesterday i was downtown vancity holding/waving my flag and for one of the many times in my life i WAS PROUD TO BE A CANADIAN, i'm proud everyday but you know there are certain moments that just solidify the feeling that i am where i am meant to be

I’m so excited because within the next 8 months, we will have NHL players in the Olympics again. McDavid and Crosby representing Canada at the highest level will be legendary.

2019 and it still gives me the chills.

10 years ago I was sitting in my living room with my grandpa watching this game. This memory I'll cherish my whole life. Happy 10 years and rest in peace Gramps❤

That iconic pass from Iginla to Crosby and then game over for US. The Canadian team was loaded with talents. The US fought well, but Canada had too many top players. Good game that will always be remembered in history.

We needed this after the 2006 disaster. I remember thinking that 87 wasn't doing much in this game but chose him as the would be OT hero. I was right. Man when USA tied it up, all the air escaped my lungs and I was shocked. I felt like my dog died. That was later replaced by tears of joy. Canada is hockey.
