  One of the most powerful moments of my life, and an absolutely incredible time to be in Vancouver. It was just amazing to see the whole city united in support of our athletes, and to feel the tremendous pride and palpable sense of jubilation that flowed through the city. Two weeks where you couldn't help but feel honored to be Canadian.

  I honestly don’t get it. You’re Canada. You should win the gold medal every tournament. What’s the big deal about beating the USA in hockey? If you beat us in American football that would be a legendary win. I don’t understand how it’s so legendary to win a game you’re supposed to win. It shouldn’t have even gone to overtime.   I was never a big fan of ice dancing. It got to the point where the programs were getting too abstract and theatrical. Some of the costumes were elaborate and complicated. Then I discovered Tessa and Scott about 4 years after they retired. 😢. I have since become obsessed with them and their skating. I have watched all of their programs many times. I can tell what the program is by Tessa’s costume. Some of their programs are iconic - Moulin, Mahler, Carman to name a few. But my all time favorite is the Umbrellas of Cherbourg. They were so young, just starting out really. But the program was so romantic, about young love and they certainly relayed that feeling on the ice. Now they have gone on to pursue their second careers. Both are married with a child for Scott and one on the way for Tessa. I wish them health and happiness. Maybe one day we will see their kids on the ice! Camelot will live on.
