Hi! Welcome to Maelove.
Today we address the question, can I use Vitamin C and Hydroxy Acids, like AHAs and BHAs- together?
The short answer is : yes you definitely can. Just make sure your skin can tolerate it and you don’t get irritation from this combination because both types of products tend to be acidic.

I was one of the people who asked about PHA's. Thank you for adding that to the video.

Yes, please teach us about copper peptides and if we should be adding them to our regimens.

    1) Do you use both Glow Maker and Fade Away, or can we get by with just one of these products? 2) Also, I recently read while Biochemically vitamin C and copper should be opposed to one another, with the copper canceling out the effects of the vitamin C, in practical application it doesn't seem to be posing as much of a problem as once thought. I’m eager to hear your thoughts. 3) I also read, vitamin C is hard to get into the skin except at a very low pH. What’s Glow Maker’s pH? Thank you for all you’re teaching us!

Thank you for the feedback! Glow Maker is an antioxidant treatment for protecting skin from environmental stressors and fighting free radical damage with other benefits too like fighting signs of aging and dullness. It is best used daily every morning. Its pH is below 3.5. Fade Away is specifically for hyperpigmentation and dark spots, and works by helping to fade existing spots and prevent new ones from forming. It can be used AM and/or PM, up to twice daily as tolerated. If hyperpigmentation is your biggest issue, using both would be a great treatment plan! However, you can just stick with one if you find one better suited to your needs.

How often can you use glycolic acid without harming your skin barrier? Thank you for this information and love your channel!

We suggest starting off 2-3 nights a week! Make sure to follow up with a moisturizer to protect the skin barrier if your product isn't already in a hydrating cream formula.

I just started using your Vit C serum. I've been using Retin A for many years, as well as Aseic acid, both from my Dermatologist. Other Vit C serums have tingled on my skin. Yours does not. Do I have a bad batch? I've heard that Vit C should tingle if it's real, or still active. Please advise. Thank you :)

Definitely not a bad batch! Our formula is formulated for sensitive skin, so we do everything in our power to minimize irritation. We use l-ascorbic acid, the gold-standard vitamin C derivative, so it's definitely a real vitamin C serum and also very active at 15%! Tingling isn't always a good thing - we would not suggest using that as an indication for effectiveness.

How do you layer them. Vitamin c first then glycolic acid cream moisturizer??

An easy rule to remember is to apply products from thinnest to thickest in consistency, waiting a full minute between each layer. So yes, a vitamin C would go first, then your glycolic acid, followed by moisturizer.
