With that voice of yours, you definitely need no pitch correction and/or autotune! :)
I love that you referred to singing it 2 octaves lower as “going crash test dummies”

Once, there was this kid who...
Rob Halford's vocals are otherworldly.
15:23 - 15:27 is going to be my new ring tone.
one big thing about adjusting a gap This Big is that you change your voice's "texture" in the lower/higher registers...in the "Actual Singing" track, its got the scratchiness, the raspiness, the FORCE behind the words...in the "2 Octaves Lower", it sounds like straight-up falsetto because your lower voice was a lot 'cleaner'...the "In-Betweeny" track did have some of that rasp, but it sounded more like 'doing an Impression' of Rob Halford, compared to 'singing like' Rob Halford...

Hey, quick tip for melodyne. When it gets confused and represents a note as way too low (like the one that you moved manually) press on that wrench icon and from there you can fix any notes that were mis-read. Then click back to the original screen.

HOLY DAMN YOUR VOICE IS BEAUTIFUL
You’re a very talented singer, guitarist and apparently sound engineer, do you write songs as well? Also you’re very handsome
I came across your channel a couple of days ago because of that Toto video. Loved it so much I decided to dig deeper and I am all about that metal with you. I have subscribed, that Bell notification is on and you're in my wheelhouse on this one and I'm here for it. I was crying laughing on the two octave results... Two daughters who love Hatsune Miku teeheeheee

Hahaha that's so awesome! Thanks so much : )
Holy shit how the hell do you do this, bro? You are so good at singing! Your range is about 17 octaves, you have so much power, such excellent control and awareness, really really good pitch precision... you also are one of those Finnish people who have a very minimal accent. This doesn't happen with Swedish people, but it happens with a fair few Finns.
Love your voice, man, impressive!
Great video. Liked and subbed. I really like your approach to content. It's very relatable. Oh, and great vocals by the way. Rob would be very proud to hear this I imagine
Great video as usual. You are quickly becoming one of my favorites here on the tube, keep up the good work!
Yeah, I watched it not long ago and was floored by how your software is doing this with such ease, your idea here of rocking covers is genius...
We need a full version of a maximum autotune painkiller, that short sample was too funny
I love you dude. You're awesome haha! I'm very jealous of your setup!
Awesome video, excellent presentation! And you vocals are great by the way :D
Love the videos man, keep it up! That "THE" autotuned cracked me up, that was so funny
Dude, great job. It’s so amazing to see your skills.
Thanks for this nice Otu-tune video!
All I have access to his garage band on my iPhone, but i’ve learned so much from your videos and it has improved my music production. thank you so much man!
I found you through music production videos, but also enjoyed your "style of" content. Now... You just slayed vocally when giving the base sample. And you do it so apparently efforlessly. Some content on how to get good singing would also be appreciated (haven't watched your full backlog of videos yet)
Eres un crack!, un seguidor desde Argentina.
I'm a new sub and I also found your channel because of the Toto pitch correction video :D The algorithm is pretty wonky and unpredictable. But I'm glad I'm here! You rock! Greetings from Serbia! \m/
Yo. I love you, man! You are incredible! :D
Great video dude!
Kind yt algorithm have recommended toto video to me and I had to say I ve enjoyed it thoroughly 🔥 Keep it up 🤘
That auto-tune imitation at the end was perfect! LOL
Your vocal range keeps amazing me man! Sleep - Dopesmoker pitch corrected down 😂
Damn, you've a great voice! 🤘
Hola, I think that vid is blowing up because the song has been seeing a new wave of interests from from a few different communities. Either way, it was a great video and I wish for your future success. 👍
I watched that Toto vid twice in the last 2 weeks, gave me a good laugh & was enjoyable/informative 👌

That would be me - Your videos are the best when explain to a really old guy trying to record demos... using this newfangled computer gizmo stuff. As kids we would just practice for hours and record live onto magnetic tape! Its a brave new world. Thanks, and Well Done. Your teaching an old horse new tricks.
10:24 Paingiver
I love the video! There are a couple of songs I sing in the car, and the singer(s) just go one or two notes higher than I'm able to. I would imagine if I'm using pitch correction, I'll just sing the notes I can't hit at my highest natural level, and continue singing when the notes come down again, and then adjust the bits that I needed help with. I'm looking to create a voice model with AI to re-sing a couple of songs with a different singer....if that makes sense. Like swapping John Lennon for Paul McCartney, or Glenn Frey for Don Henley. Things like that. This was great info!
hi, you are so talented.💜💜💜💜
I think another important thing to consider is the way you shape vowels on different 'heights'. If you sing very high, your mouth will be wide open and maybe sound way more nasal. I wonder what it would sound like if you'd sing very low but use the mouth movements of a high vocal. Great video man! You're an amazing singer/musician.
10:23 this is brilliant!!! i peed myself laughing!!!
Funny you used the clip of Phil saying he's a baritone voice when talking about not being able to hit high pitched, because Phil used to hit absolutely insane high notes
god damn those are mad tubes you got
That was funny and informative
7:00 jordan peterson sings Painkiller
10:25 Miss Piggy goes METAL! You just need to “rebrand” and you’re good to go. 👍🏻
I am watching a production tutorial and can't stop thinking "wow, can I get a vocals tutorial?"
Looks like a Brazilian comedy metal singer called "Detonator" from the band "Massacration"
I hear lots of high frequency artifacts in your tracks after melodyne... this really makes me not even try to use it. Actually I found your channel via this hyped video as well, but I stayed here for the memory series... hope this will continue.

@@moonicproductions I am using voicelive on stage. If I use it for an auto pitch correction or for transposing (adding harmony voices) I always hear these artfacts. It is like if the bitstream of video is to low. Sharp, high pitched additional frequency. It seems to be especially me, not liking them. I have to live with it on stage... in the studio I prefer a retry. However one octave up sounded interesting as my voice gets very thin for higher notes. I loose the pressure, while you seem to gain it. I can use headvoice only as a style element and it is very different as well. But melodyne seems no solution... as are the other pitch manipulation tools I tried.

I have used Melodyne extensively in the past, particularly for mixing group/choir vocals (recorded by several vocalists located in different parts of the world). I have to say that it has amazing capabilities if you become well versed in it. You can fine tune so much, split up notes, change the pitch modulation, change note length and amplitude etc. You can not only "fix" pitch issues, but also timing issues with surgical precision. Obviously, the way Melodyne was used in this video was in a very general way. Any software that is used for extreme pitch shifting will lead to a very unnatural sound. But yeah, I think you should definitely give it a try before dismissing it. Also, you can use Melodyne for instruments as well :)
Dude this made laugh. Pls do a whole song 3 octaves lower and dont worry about post processing. Also thanks for the audio production lesson.
Any time I hear that Mickey sound I'm reminded of Bridge Stuart's "A Stupid Voice" video here. It's so good.
This man just casually goes "Imma sing Painkiller a lil' bit so you can hear how it sounds when it's genuine" and proceeds to fucking NAIL it pretty much exactly like Rob Halford sings it as if he does this for fun every other Tuesday.
the case is despite most of people here probably came for metal, covers and related things, but there is known thing, people like to see the process of creation things (e.g. all those DIY videos) with the explanation for the entertainment, not for education. Just use it (and invite related sponsor, why not);)
Wow, just found yoh using auto tune from 3 years ago, you are very talented my friend, I'll be watching all your videos thanks for posting from Garry in the UK aged 70 yup, old fart
The Toto video keeps appearing in my recommended all the time really weird indeed. You're awesome my man! Edit Phil's is a Baritone and sings Medicine Man, go figure
Missed opportunity: Oto Tune
Just casually sings Painkiller perfectly before doing it wrong on purpose.
Yeah, I'd noticed the algorithm was pushing your Toto video a lot! KZread works in mysterious ways sometimes. Well, I guess if you ever need to sing a mezzo-soprano operatic part you know you can always pitch yourself up, LOL. Maybe 'Barcelona'?

Fuck, you REALLY can sing man!! 🤘
With all of your videos that I've been watching I've been wondering if you're classically trained or maybe even opera trained. Your voice and vocal range are incredible either way, but even more so if you haven't had formal training.
Да.да.да так и есть.😢❤
Dont ever hope I have to use this AUTO fun :)
Painkiller? Pain MAKER, more like! lol
The autotune was cracking me up 😂
Omg you can also sound just like Halford.
Auto-tune also has pitch correction mode in Melodyne style. It's not just automatic and real style...
Otu Tune!
Those are amazing tools. My thing is I absolutely hate it when I can hear it working. If I don't hear it I'm cool with it. It's a funny thing.
The adjustment over 2 octaves sounded very strange indeed, sort of a failed opera singer on a bad day - very funny! In the meantime I'm impressed with you jumping 2 octaves without visible effort...
bro why cant rappers get good pitch correction like you man, they sound like siri sometimes
Otu-Tune!
He got me to chuckle. He absolutely hated listening to that one track.
I thought your clean high vocals were great! Could you auto-tune to make a voice sound low? My friend and I used to sing "Aces High" but sing "Aces Low" in it's place and try to sing as low as we could. lol

haha I like the science
I don't know if I'm baritone but I'm at least an unfortunate soul who has no range :( so for me where Melodyne shines is background vocals. It can never be Halford-esque, but you can really mask the mickey mouse flaws when harmonizing. I hope you never take your amazing range / voice for granted. I would consider that a superpower right up there with flying and I'd probably choose singing like prime Chris Cornell over flying
Hey dude, can You do something about the Mortal Kombat song? You know, the most famous one: The Finnish Hymn!
