Can You See the Moon Landing Site with A Telescope?
Ғылым және технология
Yes, it is theoretically possible to use telescopes to see if the moon landings were real, but practically no. It would take an incredibly powerful telescope to see signs of moon landings on the lunar surface, and even the best telescopes we have today are not remotely powerful enough to capture clear images of those signs.
The resolving power of a telescope depends largely on the size of the lens/mirror being used. The Hubble telescope, for instance, has a diameter of 2.4 meters and can see objects that are at least 96 meters in size. The American flag left behind on the moon measures only 4 feet in length, and even the biggest optical reflecting telescope on Earth wouldn't be able to resolve it.

@johnvista2858 are you saying that reflected light is as bright as light directly from a star?
Even if it were blurry yet legible it sure would prove something…
No, you can't. Too few photons would reach the telescope, and the telescope would have to be enormous, far larger than anything that is practical to build.
Most of the moon walk skeptics were probably born during the 1980’s , 90’s and 2000’s.

The telescope that can see billions of miles away can't see the moon?

Telescopes can indeed help us observe the Moon. However, when it comes to detecting the artifacts and evidence left by the Apollo moon landings, even the most powerful telescopes on Earth fall short due to their limited resolving power and aperture size.

You can see the Moon 350,000 kilometers away and some of its largest craters with your eyes alone. On the other hand, with these same eyes, you cannot see the heads of passengers on an airliner flying at 10 kilometers altitude!! Why?

00:43 and 02:40 Guys. You do not see images with radio telescopes. Unless it's via a radio signal, but then we're talking about broadcasts.
well the Odie is landing in a week in a specific spot. it would have been nice if they attempted to get some evidence for us

Saturn at its closest is about 3000 times farther away that the Moon, but it's *_30 million times_* wider (not including the rings!) than the descent stages of the lunar landers that we left on the Moon.

Space telescopes and satellites are not as good as people think. Furthermore, you would need a camera that can last a long time without recharging it's battery.

incredible, isn't it? But check the latest: according to NASA itself they are currently unable to provide suits for "another" manned mission to the moon, so it is currently "not possible" to schedule one -and did they have them 50+ years ago? How so The list go endlessly on. They did not have the necessary technology then and morever they could not afford the slightest risk of a failure. And they carelessly played the odds anyway back then. One needs to wonder if basic, simple logic can or cannot be dismissed

because they were taken using satellites in orbit around earth or mars and not using a telescope on earth surface.. we can take pictures of the lunar landing site, you just have to do it with a satellite in orbit around the moon.. smh you people are the reason we need instructions on shampoo bottles..

You can’t zoom in so far as to notice something 1 km wide on google mars, you wouldn’t be able to see a rover on that either. Google earth you can zoom in so well because they have images from satellites who have orbited right over almost the entirety of earth.

Im skeptical about both sides of all this fuss... but people seem to be scared that either possibility is true. But those that are scared that it might have been faked, are usually the ones who seems to have a rude awakening in a future.. Anyways believe whatever you want, depending on NASA to believe in NASA is not really a smart idea from a epistemological point of view. I dont have billions of dollars to spend to disprove anyone about many of the plausible arguments brought up by those who say the moon landing is fake anyways. That doesnt make a difference, the thing is that those in power have some shady stuff going on, be it Hollywood and other stuff completely not related to moonlanding ( suposedly not related anyways... ) "Signs and symbols rule the world, not words nor laws."
