Dude, this TOTALLY worked on my Samsung S10e and it's not as old as your old tablet omfg. I can't use my computer to stream because it's incredibly slow so I use my phone with Streamlabs for Android and THIS just saved me. I've been using the Xbox's mirror screen app to stream but I won't be exposed to its lag anymore!!! Many many MANY thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah this was more impressive than my old $900 laptop with a graphics card and everything. I'm also on the s10e and I can record 1080p 60fps 30 mb bitrate just fine and looks just as good as my gaming rig. No need to destroy my SSD in order to record gameplay, I don't mind breaking a phone that's only 200 in comparison. Also I can now record gameplay when I'm out at a homies house.

That's very interesting as I tried to do the same thing with my phone, which happens to be an Huwaei Honor. I wanted to take the hdmi output from my Panasonic camera as I film rugby and stream it live through SLOBS for android, and it didn't work. I am going to try it with my old Samsung and will let you know the results. Thanks for this as I really didn't think it would work, hopefully I will have a better result with the Samsung.

What type of cable do I buy of I want to do this with an iPad 8

I own Samsung A72 but when I connect it to an external camera via type C usb connected to a capture card, the Camfi live app only sees the phone camera instead of the connected USB camera via capture card, what might be the issues ?

Basically, it works as long as your device is old enough. Done some searches and apparently from android 10 on the video capture via otg is no longer supported. Not working on my S21 anyway. 😔

I just use the same video capture card but it doesn't show the phone screen in steam labs it says HDMI connected but it is showing the screen as Samsung dex which you cant use to play games from phone to pc

If I understand correctly you can lower the volume of the audio source in obs.

This is legit! It didn't work on motorola but samsung worked right away.

@@RolandRencewiggP that would depend on your mobile signal at the location you film at. Would you always have a strong network carrier signal? I think you would be lucky to stream at 720 with that setup.

If i understand you question - You want to record your mobile screen onto your PC via OBS? If this is the case you need to get a mobile to HDMI Adapter please check for your phone for right model like this amzn.to/2Dvh8Lj then the HDMi cable to the capture card to your PC. This should work. i will plan to test it when the phone to HDMi arrives.

@@zulfphotography sure, actually the problem is, most of phones are not made as usb 3.0 standard or MHL complaint . Which is used for display over usb and hdmi . I want to confirm on this. If there is some work around to do so using capture cards. And thanks for replying I will surely check the trailing videos to this.

In Generally not all the devices support external display ( it depends on the usb type for external display usb 3.0 minimum is required)...but all the iPhones, iPads and Premium Androids like OnePlus 7 and higher, Samsung Galaxy S8 or higher, Asus ROG Phone etc. Supports External Display

I thought that to but it seems a lot of people want to do what I tried to show in this video. The idea is to record gameplay from an external console to your phone. It does record audio actually if done correctly with MHL enabled phones

@@zulfphotography yeah good point. I once tried to use a webcam on a phone. And realising my phone already has a webcam. You should probably make a video about more otg stuff.

Havent you got them yet? They have 40k HDVI Graphics and they create virtual 360 environments around your controler. I just made that up on the spot but I'm sure they will be awesome:-p
