Can you do the whole tutorial about using the phone to connect to the webcam, charger, mic? Especially more explanation on the connector. What a great and innovative way to live stream. How about Zoom and other online meeting platforms. Can we use this set up?

For whoever is not getting this to work Prism removed the feature. To my understanding USB mic still works but web camera and DSLR camera support was removed.

Would it be possible to use Prism to have a USB webcam replace the front Samsung S20 cam for Zoom calls? Or does Prism have a Zoom-like two ways video conference function? It needs to be USB (UVC) for it to work currently. Not sure if it can process the 360 though. Try it and let me know!

@Anonymous User it can be done... my issue was with the camera being a 360. But you can use an old phone as a webcam. Just search YT for how to's, there are instructions for this out there

I don’t have links to the cable (it’s a sponsored video) but what I used for my Samsung was the Apple USB-C to USB connector. Happy to send some links to other options over if your friends need any assistance with that.

I appreciate all of your help videos - they are full of information and great to watch! But, I am really stuck on the editing platforms to use. I have been taking video with my cell phone, but I can't find an editing sw that will let me do cuts, splices, voice-over, etc. Oh - and music. I tried using KZread which allows you to add music after the fact, but you cannot fade in or out and it just looks really choppy. I know what I want to create - I need to learn what to use. FYI, I am on a strict budget so I am not looking for expensive platforms - much as I would like to invest someday.

I used to do video editing on a computer in the late 90's. It took hours to render a few minute clip. Yes it amazes me that I can do what I can on a device that fits in my hand.

I can finally record of me driving a dirt bike while the phone is in somewhere safe (in the backpack).. thanks mate!

Hey Dee, For a Black Friday special at Best Buy, I bought a bundle having the same webcam you showed on your video and a Yeti USB mic. So an excellent New Years' resolution for 2020 would be to start live streaming. I have this time to learn the ropes. I appreciate this video on how I can use my smartphone with PRISM Live Studio. If you are live streaming this Sunday, I plan to stop by and listen. Thanks for helping me keep updated with all the cool things coming out for mobile!

This MIGHT actually give me a idea where I can probably go live with my actual video camera. Not 100%sure yet.

Zulf Photography Yes, if you have a USB switcher then you can turn on and off the cam you want to use. Prism can only see one cam at a time but the switcher would make that work.

Good info. The external webcam is working with this app BUT, i want to livestream on a website. The website detects my internal webcam front and back but doesnt see the external webcam. How to change ? and what can i do to make the external webcam make standard above the internal webcams ? (tried with phone and tablet, both do have otg software on it)

You can connect a dslr of course! Mini hdmi to hdmi cable, plug it in a "hdmi video capture" adapter (which basically is a webcam that takes the feed via hdmi) Cheers
