You absolute legend. I have already seen videos explaining how to use IVcam and also tried it and it didn't work. But your explanation was were detailed and comprehensive that I made it work. @@pal2tech Honestly it can't be expected you will make every possible combination, that would be an overkill... But I think the videos are great to show that anything should be possible really, so one just needs to look into their specific combination to find a solution.

This was great! I just had to go back into my laptop firewall settings and allow ivcam access to home and public, then it connected. Thanks much!!

This has been a very helpful video for me today! I was so stressed out because high-quality webcams are really expensive. God bless you for sharing this idea.

Hello! Thank you for this one. It saved me from buying a webcam just for an online class. I wish it will last longer since I guess this is only a trial? Advance Merry Christmas and yes! you earned one new subscriber! I will definitely share it with my friends and siblings.

Apple products have a wider array of app selection for productivity however I've always preferred Android because when you have an android there is always a way. Whether it means doing a little extra digging to find what you need or straight up doing it yourself and coding it you will always have a solution. Open source will always be objectively better in the long run especially if you're willing to put some extra work in.

Yes, so long as it either connects via WiFi or a USB cable.

In the options of Iv camera appears something like "audio entrance" or something, just disable it

For a while Ive been doing online school with a laptop which is really slow at starting up and every thing like that, but with this I can use my Gaming PC for online school, which will be much quicker over all!! This is so good!! Not to mention the camera quality overall is amazing!!! Also, for those wondering, the PC program for IV Cam is completely 100% safe! I scanned it with Windows Defender, and no threats were detected!! This is going to make life a whole lot easier!! Many thanks Again Pal2tech!!!

Thanks for the tip on the USB connection. Was on a wifi connection with iriun and it kept lagging. USB connection fixed it! Now I'm happy.

Brilliant !! Tried a few other youtube videos to get my Sony a7 camera (mk1) or my Samsung Smartphone to work as a webcam. No joy with any of them. Found this video and my Samsung now works a treat as my webcam. Can't thank you enough. Only sorry I'm not in the US or I would buy the phone holder through your link, but thanks again.

Well after fighting to get this to work for the past few hours, I did all of the stuff you and others talked about. It didn't work, however I did finally make it work, by changing a setting on my phone under usb options. I have three options, Charge Phone, Media Device (MTP) or Send images (PTP) when MTP is unavailable. That worked on my LG phone. I don't know why MTP is not available though. Just some if anyone needs it. Thanks for helping us out!

Great explaination. You already got my thumb up :-) One addition for other people who try it (sorry if my explaination in English is not perfect). In contradiciton to what was said in the video you are able to use the microphon of the Phone! Just have a look in the settings. Not the ones you find with this little wheel. But the settings you are going to find on the farthest lower right. There you can set Audio and select the phone or other audio devices. Don't be confused if it doesn't work immediately. The screen re-starts after you said ok. Then the selected audio device will do its job. I hope this helps.
