When I cemented in the oilfield one of the tricks for clean up was to just let the cement freeze on the truck and when you got back to shop it would just come off super clean. Since we were cementing oil and gas wells it the actual cement job was bellow the surface point of freezing.

Yes, if you put Calcium Carbonate (High Early) in it and have plenty of help to pour and finish it. And then cover it with plastic and insulating blankets to keep it from freezing while it cures. But I emphasize, have plenty of help because it will be hot coming out of the truck.

  • @RealMTBAddict

Calcium is not the same as high early. And most city inspectors won't let you pour if it's below 38 degrees, they just raised it to 42 in my city. 42 and rising, not steady. We have codes for a reason. Blankets only do so much. If your concrete surface is freezing then it's too cold.

My dad used to own a 30 ft San Juan. Once we took it down to San Francisco for Fleet Week and to watch the Blue Angles. We tried to anchor on the south (City) side of Alcatraz but do to the strong currents we lost the anchor before we could tie it off, so we had to just slowly motor up and down. It was a bit tricky due to all the other boats, but it got really hairy when the tide reversed. All of the anchored boats started bouncing off each other. I turned to my dad and suggested we rename the boat "Rick O'Shay"

The jug you found in the refrigerator that was labeled Seven Insect is just that. Seven is a brand of insecticide most commonly found as a dust that you sprinkle on your outdoor plants around your home (think flower/vegetable garden). next time you are in your local hardware store look for it and all your questions will be answered.
