Unboxing videos are fun just for the mere fact that they remind me of Christmas day when I was a kid. Who doesn't wanna feel like a kid again even for just a few minutes?!

The high pass filter on the pia (16:00) is used to filter out bottom end when you are using a high gain tone and you roll off the volume. It gets rid of the muffled low end you get by doing that.

A more simplified way? :(

On the Pia, if the high pass filter is like a regular treble bleed circuit, you wont hear a difference until the volume knob on the guitar is rolled down. It'll preserve the highs even as the volume is rolled down. Phil McKnight has a great video showing how the treble bleed only makes a difference when the guitar volume is rolled off.

Great video guys!!! Ibanez is without a doubt THEE only guitar company that has such a vast veriaty of guitars in the industry!!! I use to have a 1978 Ibanez Artist, bought it used in 1979/80 for $350, & it was THEE BEST guitar I ever owned hands down!!! I really do miss that guitar, traded it for an Ibanez Destroyer back in 1985, dumb move!!! I also use to have a 1977/78 Ibanez catalog, that's when Ibanez really took off!!!

Doesn't the protective foam under the Benson's bridge affect the tone and action? Great video btw.

If we get enough likes & comments on this video then i'm sure we can convince Rabea & Pete to make a 2nd episode...

No, the point of the high pass filter is to prevent high end roll-off when winding down the volume. So you won't hear a difference at full volume (the cap is shorted by the top of the volume pot)m but as you turn down the higher frequencies won't die as quickly.

A high-pass filter let's high frequencies pass through, hence it's name. A highpass does not compensate for the loss of high end when turning down the volume, it merely cuts low frequencies.

Ill tell u why unboxing videos are so popular. Most of us dont have the money to buy guitars often and open em up but we can vicariously live that out by seeing people open nice guitars we wish we had. Wheather u know it or not thats at least a big part of the reason so many people watch em

if you want to go to extremes with ibanez take a look at Stephen 'Thundercat' Bruner's bass. And please do a review of it.

I believe the big deal about unboxing goes back to when we were children at Christmas. Gives people a sense of happiness

What I read was "Can you jizz on Steve Vai"... What a video that would've made!

I have the impression that the push pull is a treble bleed circuit. If so it only effects tone when you turn down the volume and is there to keep the highs when rolling off the volume. At least the JS sig is like that.

A guitar player can play any style on any guitar. Putting a guitar in a box because of A: What it looks like or B: What pickups it has is simply asking for a musician to stick two fingers up and tell the world how wrong they are. Rab and the Mad Dane showing the versatility of the guitar in one jam.

I like the GB, but I can't deal with a floating bridge. No good for bends or severe hammering. I went with the fixed bridge Artcore AM3QM and it's been heavenly.

I love those questions... "Can you play jazz with a 8 string jackson with EMGs?" as if the guitar plays on your behalf. You can play jazz if you know/practice to play jazz... will you enjoy playing it with a Schecter or whatever... Maybe
