Can you Overland in a STOCK Vehicle? Jeep Camping in Sedona
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Of course you can overland a stock vehicle! You just have to drive it over land! The purpose of this video was more to show you what I threw in my new (old) stock Jeep for a couple days in the Sedona desert!

people seem to forget, there was a time before jeep gladiator s, rtt's, skottles, this gear that gear. all you need is a warm place to sleep and some stuff to cook.
Last week, we took on everything that Sedona had to offer with a stock 99 XJ. Absolute piece of cake. Nothing fazed the Jeep. Nothing. All the guys/gals with shiny new Rubicon’s and the Pink Jeep tour guides were loving our old XJ tackle all obstacles no problem. We have an episode coming out soon about the whole thing. Love your channel BTW!
I use the Coleman 2 burner stove my dad gave me before a couple years before he passed. It's about 30 years old. He's the one that would take the family camping off road before there were pay campgrounds. He left me a priceless legacy. My brother and I would ride in the back of the old stepside Ford pickup to the Sierras not to far away. Thank you for the memories that Coleman brought up.
Are you asking can you camp on a dirt road without tens of thousands of dollars of gear?! Lol, yeah I'll think you'll survive the night...
If I put my order in now, my great grandkids can enjoy a new bison camper. Hahaha 🤣
Out in the Wild ! With a Mountain View has to be GREAT ... 🇫🇮🇺🇸 With A Jeep and with your dog
I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee, with the 4.0L-- it was a great little beater. Loved it. But I do prefer the Jeep Cherokee, a little lighter-- a little simpler... and you can find them everywhere for cheap parts.
Phil!!!! You said “Duties”!!! Too funny!!!
😂 I was about to say,"Where is Koda girl?", and then BOOM! 1:19mark
Aero press is my go to as well, good to see Koda Girl with you as it been a while since she's been in an episode. Safe travels and looking forward to seeing the jeep all dialed in and back on the road.
It's nice to see you and Cody again. I just bought the same camp stove. I hope it lasts 20 years. At least you don't have to climb up to the roof tent now.
I love Sedona sunsets. Schnebly Hill is a must and camping at the top is a no brainer ~>
The scenery at the campsite was awesome.
Beautiful campsite.
My first camping trip other than hiking with the Boy Scouts or sleeping along the lake in the spring on weekends was a trout fishing opening weekend trip. My step father had access to this old bed van back in the early 70’s I wasn’t old enough to drive yet. We loaded it up we had an older canvas Colman tent that used 1” poles it was so heavy. A Coleman white gas lantern and a two burner white das stove I think we destroyed more mantles than we used and the stove we were constantly pumping it while it was in use. I don’t remberer much of the rest of the gear I’m sure I took my bsa gear but it was more about the fishing the camping was to prevent having to get up three hours before sunrise to go one hour to the spot. But it was fun. My health prevents primitive cam, ping now. Between my mobility issues and my sleep apnea I normally take my super c Motorhome and I can drag the jeep in tow using blue od tow bar and plate for the jeep. I have a stay and play braking device in the jeep.
I had the same truck. It was the best...will crawl up and descend down the steepest hills!
Living like a King Bro !! 👍👍💪💪💪💪💪✌✌
Why don't you put that rooftop tent on top of your jeep Cherokee
Thanks, great content.
doing more of the actual workings of equipment like what you did here is great., do more as I just ordered the hedgehog and Step 22 Stingray box
I have a 2002 WJ! Okay a Laredo with an inline 6, stock. LOL. Ya we can overland!
In a way I feel you are all about what's new what's best. You do some cool camping videos. Just seems like it's all about the best gear to buy and what not. Keep it up tho... You are living a good camp life fosho
Update on the crawl Ma Hauls camper would be nice! As you were sir!
hands down perro your videos and style is always fun to watch, you dont make those cliche overlander bull shit videos for views or likes you just out there getting it! stock vehicle or not go GET SUM!
Yeah buddy!!!
omg so much fun
Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You mean car camp?
"Overlanding"= car/truck camping down unpaved roads.
Hey Phillip, love the video, question, what hardware are you using for internet service while out there in nomad land? I work online most of the time and and need advice. By the way thank you for inspiring me to push me into living in my 7x14 cargo trailer camper conversion full time.
10:03 Would a five-gallon propane bottle function better with a regulator to control output pressure?
Chill on the wild ragers Phil!
Also where do you find these amazing site with amazing views?
Phil saw you in a hammock commercial on Facebook, with the Dodgemahall. Do you still use the trailer hitch stand?
Of course! People can overland on a unicyle (and have). 4WDing is not necessarily the same as Overlanding.
Duties? Is that more than one? 🤠
You saved some money on your other camper build for the gladiator whatever happened to that camper you were suppose to put on the gladiator???
what do you think? Did I do it right?

defiantly, most stock suvs could hold their own if they aren't doing anything to crazy (though one might want 4x4). While the "house" might be nice, its a lot of hassle if you're not going to be doing stuff like Alaska.

That's simple car camping, as has been done for over 100 years. The area that you went to, I can reach in my Sentra. So how hard is that? Com' on man, let's go off-road, off-route, off-grid and overland

Kinda new here. What kind of tent is that? The material looks quilted.
