We've been keeping rabbits and chickens in the same space for around five years now. Never a problem. 👍

when she's about to give birth, you isolate her from the chickens so they won't attack them. but at what age can you mix the rabbit babies with the entire flock(chicken & older rabbits) again? please tell me what do you do? at what age the rabbit babies won't be at risk of getting pecked? i have quail next to chickens, but seperated by a wire mesh, one day there was a small hole i didn't see that a quail got out from(to the chicken place). the chickens almost killed her. was blood on her back! that's what i'm afraid from!

sorry about long message, let me reformulates: at what age baby rabbits won't be at risk of getting attacked by the chickens so i can release them from the temporarily encloser?

@@jbiliHacker Our rabbits live in cages and have their babies there, where they are safe. We have three adult rabbits in their own cages with boxes. We let one rabbit out to run around for a week each.

@@jbiliHacker I would say you can let the young bunnies out with chickens when at least four to six months old, depending on their size. They grow quickly. The chickens might chase the rabbit a little at first but they get along fine.
Bunnies & chickens living together in harmony 🐇💞
The BEST video on KZread on this subject…THANK YOU!!!
Awesome! Glad I watched this one. I'm in the planning/preparations stages of turning a side of our barn into a racken cage. I hadn't even considered allowing the rabbits to roam with the chickens. Nor had I thought about the possibility of chickens roosting on top of the rabbit hutches. Thank you for the heads up!

Glad it was helpful for you!
Thanks for the informative.
My family has recently found what we think is a stray bunny we’re thinking about adopting it and putting him in with are 6 hens.
Looking at this because I have a 5 month old chicken with a splayed leg and we cuddel her snd keep her in the house but I know she misses the warmth and vompanionship of her sisters. I was hoping a gentle bunny snd my Peggy could do well together possibly
Thank you for this super information. I was planning to put our rabbits up on shelving that we have set up in, what is currently, the broiler/duck coop. It's good to know that the chickens will help stir the manure under.

Thank you sooo much!
I have wondered how this would work and whether the chickens would try and eat the buns. Good to know!

They do, but only when they are tiny, once they are out of the nest they are fine in my experience
Chickens live below our rabbits and do a great job reducing the smell from the rabbit droppings.

Wonderful!
thanks!
I love the video but I would put something on the bottom of the wire cage because the rabbits can get bumble foot and so can the chickens.
What are you using to prevent coccidiosis for the rabbits and the chickens?
