Jaja, el divertido es que yo soy un Italiano que lleva 20 años viviendo en España y hablo el español de manera bastante fluida, peró la gente me mira de manera rara porque no me saben ubicar pq mi acento no es "nativo".

Me parece que estos vídeos deberían ser en el nivel avanzado no por la manera en que Agustina y Andrés hablan sino los acentos de las personas in los clips. A veces es difícil de entenderlas.

Andrés has that interesting sort of _pinched_ vocal timbre that you hear in some parts of Spain. I can only immitate it by cupping my hand over my face and pinching my nose a bit. And his word final /s/ sibilants are more like / ʃ / .... vamosh. 😊

Aunque gramáticamente no es correcto yo pude extraer la idea que nos quiso comunicar, si hubiera conocido el contexto de su discurso. Para eso habría que saber que está criticando a otros políticos y está expresando los pensamientos de aquellos.

lol I had no idea on these, except the Mexican one. I knew it at three points. I also was listening to No Hay Tos literally for an hour and a half right before watching this video, but in sure that played no part in my knowing it 😅 haha. I feel like I noticed accents more early on but at 850 hours I can’t really distinguish by sound but more vocabulary use so I’d need to listen to a much larger portion of audio

I’m only at 300 hours and can’t distinguish very easily from one accent to another. At what point (how many hours) do learners begin to distinctly hear different accents? I’m really curious if this ability tracks (predictably) on the DS/J Marvin Brown roadmaps. Along those lines, I’m wondering if other DS learners at, say, 600 hours…800 hours….etc. are being struck by the accents Agustina and Andres have? Might there be a correlation between the ability to hear different accents and the ability to speak with a “good” accent? Thanks for the creative lessons. This was another good one.

I think it comes from exposure to a given accent. For example, if you listen to a lot of content from Spain, you'll realize very quickly they don't sound anything like Mexicans.

Everything you said along with the way they pronounce certain letters. For example Augustina says y like sh and Andres says c like th.

iEso no fue fácil! I didn't get a single one right until the politician from Spain. But I IMMEDIATELY recognized No Hay Tos de Mexico. So I would have gotten maybe 5 points total. 😆

Mariano Rajoy, expresidente español nacido en Galicia, pero no es acento gallego, su habla es muy peculiar.

y el acento de colombia suena muy medellín

No hablan español en Filipinas, solo hay un creole llamado Chavacano que tiene algunas palabras de español con mezcla de filipino pero no hablan el idioma español.

No es un acento, es otro idioma. Creo que se llama tagalo. Proviene del español de cuando fueron colonia, pero también de su lengua nativa, del inglés y creo que hasta del portugués.

@@denis_ordonez No me refiero ni al tagalog ni al chamorro. En las Filipinas, hay todavía varias minorías que hablan castellano, pero con un acento especificamente filipino.

Si pone el acento Nica de Nicaragua 🇳🇮 No la pega. Porq el acento Nica muy dificil de disntinguir a mi me confunden con gente de Chile, de Uruguay , Paraguay, y hasta de Espana como si los Nicas hablaramos con la Z 😂😂😂😂. Y DE donde es agustin??
