Why not just use a prepaid shipping label paid for by the buyer and order the item to yourself then slap that label on it and drop it in the mail as soon as you get it? If your ebay seller has super fast shipping, you'll have it in a couple days and no need to worry about the return address... I do that with Amazon prime items since they always show up within 3 days max. Never offer free shipping. Mercari takes the fee from the selling price and if you offer free shipping you're dipping into your own profits. Customers may wait a couple extra days but it avoids any stipulations with tracking issues.

If you use one main supplier on ebay and it says on their profile they're located in the US (ex. Detroit, Michigan) so you use their zip on your mercari profile but when you order and receive a tracking number and find out it's coming from Idaho. How do you get around that since you're required to provide a tracking number to your customer on mercari? If the tracking number zip code doesn't match with your mercari profile zip, wouldn't you get flagged?

Yes Mercari uses a proprietary scheme to track the address you are shipping from but I think the workaround is to know ahead of time where the item will ship from and put it in listing zip code.

@@ytfeverguy8367 just so you know I have only used 1 zip code during this whole time I've been Drop Shipping on mercari and I've never had a problem. Were you using strictly eBay as a source or were you using Amazon or other sources?

I tried amazon at first but quit after i got an AMZL tracking number that mercari doesn't accept so i then had to upload a bogus tracking number from one of my other USPS labels.

@@WWIITHENANDNOW ebay is the source that i use. Everything is pretty much a test. It all starts with thinking of an item or niche then researching the sellers sales. The only filtering is US seller and of course free shipping.

How do you calculate how much each item will be sold on Mercari?

Try to make $3-5.00 each sale. Simply mark the product up enough to account for the 10% that mercari charges you then subtract the cost of goods.
