Can You Build & Paint a Warhammer army in 12 hours?!
Ойын-сауық
With the release of the new Cadian models for Warhammer 40K we got wondering, could Peachy Build & Paint the Cadia Stands box in 12 hours? Our Patrons chose the colour scheme of the 122nd Reg and he set off on the mission! Can it be done?

15 hours 15 minutes. Life expectancy of a veteran guardsman. Excellent as ever.
It's funny how Duncan comes across exactly the same in his videos as he did when he worked for GW. But Peachy now has a completely different personality 🤣 I kinda like that we get the authentic Peachy now instead of the scripted GW version.

Honestly incredible to have both create video's for everyone. Painting a good looking model or army has become a lot easier for me thanks to their contributions in GW and outside.
Slick editing on this one, a real joy to watch. Nice work team

Yeah the editing is insane. Also the camera movment at 11:28 ???
Tip for painting Sleeven: you can use a decal on his sleeveless arm, with a bit of weathering it looks like a tattoo without being great at freehand.
Having you and Duncan with own channels is just a blessing for the community. Familiar faces that gave me my first paint instructions now a few years later is just something else. Still teaching me to get better with some nostalgia mixed in haha
I love, love the tip about the armor panels on the sentinel. Leaving the edges really does look amazing. Thanks guys!

Sneaky little tip in there, great for weathered vehicles and lightning fast ⏩
The good ol’ bourbon biscuit and a drink! Absolutely amazing!
15:15 is still exceptional for a tabletop-ready army! Fantastic work as always, Peachy!
Came for the army mans, stayed for the christmas biscuits :-)
Some amazing tips in here from the playbook of a pro army painter. The panels tip to leave the silver edges is genius. Shame about the AP primer. I've only had a few and they've all messed up on me. Friends' ones have been fine. I'm loving Colour Forge for colours that Citadel don't have. Great tip on the assembly line for speed. I like the way you tick them off on the instructions. That saves working out what you've done already. Brilliant.

Id legit play something like that in background while painting. I love listening to random banter while people do other stuff.
I liked that even though you were under a time crunch, you still took the time to go camo on the troops, chipping, rust effects. If the spray would have worked and you wouldn’t have pushed the extras you probably could have it closer to the 12. Great effort and they look great. Inspirational!

You guys' videos are just so well put together with the camerawork, the music and all. Love it.

I love these painting challenge videos. They feed my motivation. MORE! I DEMAND MORE!
Great video. Wasn't aware you worked outside of GW (not hater) just didn't know. Very good presence on camera. The thing that made me sure you're a decent chap was.... the bourbon biscuit. A man of taste. Also that chipping technique for the armour is such a great tip perfect 🙌
respect to Peachy for answering the video's question with "not quite this time"
They hit 40k subscribers!
When I watch videos of peachy teaching me how to paint/built I get intense nostalgia from when I first started! Keep up the amazing work

damn that Sentinel model is tempting me to start a guard army again... XD interesting paint application on it, with the edges remaining metal, i wonder what using a contrast paint will do with that technique. and also how it would look had you stippled the greys on instead. Cool stuff keep it up!
Really cool mate ❤ good job. I love the content!! Keep it up!
The tips for painting the sentinel are fantastic. I am for sure going to give that a try.
Amazing Video as always, I love to see Peachy Unchained doing his thing
I like this and i’ll be watching it over again probably as i paint my Cadia Stands box for New Army New Year. I’m going for a Halo theme on my Guardsmen but watching some of the techniques on peachy showed here (especially since i been figuring how too do the Field Gun crew separate from the main model) thanks!

Separate bloody necks!!!!!
The 122nd is the best looking of the Cadian regiments, did up my own take on them last year using old pewter guardsmen and have been procrastinating on adding my 40 new plastics to the mix for a bit. I even built myself an Arbites Precinct for them to defend from my Night Lords, as close to the original as possible while still giving it some updates. You did a great job and my troops would be proud to fight next to yours!

Fantastic videos guys. Great method for painting the panels on the vehicles Peachy. Simple yet effective. I've had similar issues with Army Painter spray cans in the past. I personally think its the nozels that are the problem as when I've put a different nozel on a dodgy can it seems to fix the issue.

awesome video, love your work & videos. currently painting genestealer cults... i have 20 hybrids, 5 acolytes, magus, primus, and two familiars painted, all with wasteland bases. still need to finish patriarch which i am doing some green stuff on. want to start the walker and i am almost done with the ridge runner. my cult is growing!!!!!!! Also have a new tau army viorla sept battle worni started which i have one drone done and three breachers.... also did high contrast sand bases for these.... ugh i am in over my head but i love it. videos like these give me the inspiration to paint for a few hours at a time. but i always go for detail because if not i feel like i am not giving it my all! cozy painting corner is what its about.
Spray cans screwing up are why I moved to using an airbrush for my priming. Also, I really like vallejo's ground texture, but I also tend to paint over it with the colors that I want so your milage may vary.
Great video! I actually did a Cityfight test model the other week using your KZread Short for camo painting! The only change I made was using Runic Grey Speedpaint as the base colour!

I love the pannel painting for fast weathering
that spray painting bit was scary! that was so much paint straight in the minis
Ive found with the AP primers, the colours are fantastic but the cans just seem to lose pressure by the time the get to half a can. Got like six half full cans of AP primer that just wont spray. Even got replacement nozzles direct from AP last year, but no joy. Love your content, keep it up lads

Same here, no luck with army painter cans. Always thought it was the nozzle that was blocked by dried up paint. B but the cans loosing pressure also makes sense.

Army painter in general is simply garbage. Their acrylics have terrible coverage, their shades dry glossy half the time, their contrast-wannabe paints smear off with water, their brushes crack, their spray cans either lose pressure or spring leaks. A bit of my kitchen drawers is still stained Platemail Metal after the can leaked and started spitting paint everywhere. The only product of theirs that wasn't straight up trash and actually performed its function is the laser line pointer, but I bought mine several years ago and I have no doubt they managed to screw those up somehow in the interim. They legit can't do anything properly, I am baffled people still give them business and buy the cheap shoddy garbage at luxury prices. At least geedub stuff freaking works when you overpay for it.

1:56 -3? ROOKIE NUMBERS. For context, I live in Michigan. We recently went down to -20, with windchill.
What an excellent video lads. Such a great effort painting, but by far the most relaxing speed paint challenge to watch. Big questions now. How many biscuits did Peachy consume over the challenge? Can we expect a biscuit review video soon? How many biscuits can the lads speed eat in 15 minutes? Need to know. For science.

Tip for spraying in the cold, put your spray can in some hot water for a few minutes to warm it up beforehand (not boiling hot though and make sure not to submerge the very top with the nozzle you dont want water to go into your spray paint) now that theres some warmth the pigments have some heat to resist the cold when they are sprayed, dry off the spray can so that it doesn't go cold as soon as you take it outside. it will only give you a couple minutes to work with .

Not painting right up to the edge on the sentinel is an absolute cheat and I'm all for it! So simple, so effective, love it!
"To save some time, don't paint up to the edges on the large flat panels..." OMG.. why, why has it taken more than 30 years for me to realise this...
Removing the mould lines alone would take me the 12 hours.
