Because GT2 was rushed in its development, it's very rough around the edges, leading to some totally game-breaking exploits like this. But it gives you practically infinite pathways to progress through the game. Since you only need to meet the horsepower limit to enter most events (I think the only ones that don't are the drivetrain and aspiration events), you can make little challenges of all kinds to beat the game. That's what makes it so replayable.

I´ve found it most fun way to play to stick to the cars ment to be in the races, even if the rules aren´t enforced. It´s a bit like a role playing game, allows many different paths to finish the game :3

I also have about some few cars that can be bought for less than 10 grand and my most favorite one is Mazda FC GT Turbo 1983 since this car have strong 160HP and cost less than 8 grand which is good for starter race and it can be tuned to 400+HP and it can use Racing Livery too which is best contender for GT World. However, this is quite tricky because the car itself considered as rare cars in Old Cars and only appear in certain days/weeks. As for the other Choices, we have Mazda MX-5 Miata '88, Pulsar GTI-R '91 (Sunny in EU/PAL), MR-2 G Limited, Mirage Cyborg R and lastly Silvia S-13 1800cc '88. These 3 cars are fast and can be used from day 1 which is good solid car but Pulsar wont make the National Race because it has 210HP which failed to meet 194HP limit while Silvia have almost 190HP, MX5 on 130HP, MR on 160HP and Mirage on 160HP. GT2 is truly a Meme and Masterpiece at same time because of Rushed development which leaves tons of unfinished assets/rules but since we have more than 600+ cars, we can explore their own potential on each cars too.

@@hartonosutrisno5452 the biggest problem with the FB is it feels like it has negative downforce, it's handling feels broken. if it's handling was halfway decent it would easily top the list given it gets over 400 and under 1000kg.

Let's be real, this is how we raced in GT as kids. I love the concept of having only one car the whole game. I always felt attached to my starter vehicle and switching to a new ride was always bittersweet. nice vid

The familia actually has either a 1.8 SOHC with 110 or 1.6 with 88 hp. I will argue the 1.3 i own with 73 is the peppiest. So, this is a 1.8!

In my VERY HUMBLE opinion, I think the Silvia K's S13 is a perfect choice for me. The Familia/323 and RX-7 FB are good choices too. It's nice to see the S13 beat the big guys.

9:05 It is actually possible to defeat the Trio with the Mazda 323/Protegé/Familia. Thing is, the usual gear trick is what makes the car slow. It is actually better to just go with a final of 2.500 and then modifying the Auto Setup from 1-10 depending on the track and without ever changing the Final tweak the gears which need to be the longest possible (for 3-4 auto setups 5th gear needs to be tweaked a bit, 5-7 Auto setup even 4th and 5th gear need adjustment and for the rest 3rd gear too). This grants insane acceleration. With proper gearing for each track you can be minimum 0.5 seconds faster per lap than the Trio Toyota, Ford and Venturi. So yes, you can win the game with the 323 regardless of opponents you face and regardless of grid position they start at

I remember seeing a spreadsheet of all the cars and how they are fully modified and thought that Mazda Familia would make a good car for this challenge, Downforce obviously something not that came up on it though which is a big reason it made it very difficult though. The Silvia was completely off my radar though and to be fair it's because of it's game breaking setup ability lol.

Yeah GT2 is outright broken once you tinker with setups.

Familia Interplay, thats a very odd name

I think GT1 has the least limited entry restrictions in events, there are no horsepower limits in any of the races, which made them pretty funny on fully upgraded cars. Only the drivetrain and racing modification restrictions on some events like in GT2 too. GT2 has a lot more events tho. Also the ai opponents are a lot more challenging and fun in the first 2 games compared to the later ones, since they didn´t really have to care for collisions

What makes the S13 better than the Familia if it’s heavier and less powerful? Is it because of its power band, or because it’s RWD?

i played gran Turismo since the orginal one came out and what i miss the most is when your able to switch from normal production body to race machine light weigh body modification i guess it stopped doing that since gran Turismo 3 my starting car has always been the 1988 Nissan Silvia KS turbo version not the Q naturally aspirated one

It is one of the most powerful when fully modified, some cars like the MK3 Supra and FC RX7 might be better but cannot meet the 197HP restriction.

The FB RX7 gets over 400hp and is under the 197hp requirement but it's handling is horrific, it's really light too which is a shame.
