I suppose you haven’t seen the immortal type category and how many monsters there are there which mind you only works on the crush car terrain and you only get five monsters with that given how many monsters you get on all the other monster types try the judge then on which is the worst deck? 😅 because I can guarantee you a lot of people will say Immortals are worse than even that the starter deck you’re starting off with in this challenge

Ayy that's the deck I got. I remember struggling through, unlocking Aqua Dragon by chance, and then subsequently sweeping the whole game.

Dooooog Aqua Dragon was so good in the base game. If you’ve got a PC that can run the PS2 emulator, you should check out some mods for it! The Redux Mod and Chaos Mod and both awesome

To get new cards that work with the deck, yes! The whole idea of this challenge/video was to not edit the deck at all, which worked for the most part outside of the duels I had to run the clock out on

Someone mentioned this before, but I guess I’ve just never seen him do anything with his terrain. I assumed it was just something the devs added to explain why it’s horizontal, but not really anything to do with him or his deck

Appreciate that! Yeah, Jon_Oh was the first person I saw that did any Yu-Gi-Oh challenges, but I never really got into FM and thought it would translate well into DOR

I like how Fiend Castle is just Toon World lol

Getting Jabo vibes from you and I dig it. Did not expect this quality from a "small" KZreadr. Fortunately for me I only ever picked this deck once since I was a child because the card looked "cool" back then and I realized my mistake after the Weevil fight, that's when I used the codes for Water Dragon and Mirror Wall just to get by, damn that was a long time ago. Brother I would KILL for a remaster, or even just a port. I know they announced that bundle of old games they're rereleasing, but I highly doubt that DOTR will be on there

I just started and I did not know that this deck was bad. I thought the freaking A.I was just hard. I made it passed Bandit Keith but I can't kill Weevil because of his damn field. I'm going to switch decks, I don't want to suffer anymore.

Haha, if you farm a little and trade out some of the bad cards, it’s not too terrible, but the default deck to start is rough. Just grind out some Darkness Ruler duels and use his fiends!

I do love that deck! I was a King Tiger Wanghu man myself, but Twin Headed is solid

This is one of the few games I remember never beating and I think this cruel deck was the reason

You’re not alone! A couple people have commented that they gave up after starting with the Kryuel deck and getting stuck, but I promise if you pick any other deck, you will get the hang of it!

I had a Boo Koo playthrough in the works for Redux, but that deck is truly so horrible that I don’t know if there’s a legitimate way to complete it. Not writing it off yet though!

Now you can do it with the bookoo deck in the Redux mod!

Duuuude, not even gonna lie, I’ve been trying this and I honestly don’t think it’s possible. I think the best fusion you can make in that deck is like Spirit of the Lamp or something which is sub-2000 attack

@@AquaSloth Ow... yeah, seems really tough, but given you did it with this, its only a tiny bit more! Couple hundred points... maybe a thousand. Maybe two thousand, bu that's not all *that* much! Just the difference between winning an losing. Probably just need to try and try again 'til your foe bricks or something.

If you grind against your deck and get three cruels, three fiend castle and oni 👌🏻 The deck has some plays

Agreed! Even if it just had one more power up, it wouldn’t be awful. The single fiend castle and no land really drags it down

One of my first playthroughs was with Kryuel... I didn't think it was THAT bad lmao. I made sure to win lots of monsters from the duelists though, maybe that was it

Honestly, even if it just had one land card, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. It's really just a mixture of only having one equip card and the base cards not being all that great lol

This was an emulator! Other than a weird graphical bug when you’re attacking, it runs perfectly fine for me

Yep! I think copies are relatively cheap compared to some other PS2 games, but you can also get the PCSX2 emulator and play it on PC!

There's a handful of mods out there, but Clovis's Redux mod changes some of the AI around and is a lot harder than the original game. Definitely check it out if you have a PC that can run PCXS2!
