Today me and dad head down the Hatton Flight, starting our descent at 7pm, with sunset at 9:30pm. It's going to be a close call and with Thunderstorms all around, it will be lucky if we don't get soaked either!

Hi Josh apparently that's how they did the locks. When they were pulled by horses, a young man or woman cycled ahead on probably a penny farthing amazing how quickly you got down all those locks well done shame no other boat wasn't around to share , apparently a boater can travel all through the night as the working boats worked for 24 hrs !!

Well done you guys doing the Hatton flight. We came up a couple of weeks ago and managed it in 2:15hrs. Of course had to have a bacon sandwich from the cafe at the top 😂😂
Well done you two, brilliant job 👍 If it's your boat, you can cruise whenever you like, dark or light The rule I believe only applies to Hire boats because of safety in the locks, but Google anyway 👍

Hi josh i did the same as you used my bike to ride between the locks all 21of them we were going up hill.also we have a boat and butty so had to ,open both gates it took us four hours not bad for 62
Blimey reckon you burnt off a fair few calories there. Good work with the bike.

That's just me Sue always been happy. It does make up for Andy and Josh being unhappy sometimes. Not all the time only when things don't go to plan which is quite often as you know. Love Diane xx
I believe that it is Only Advisory not to cruise after dusk.

Hireboaters can't cruise after dark but when you own your boat I think you can but not advisable 😊
It's your choice but have you thought about lowering carb intake I eat like a horse and lost 50 lbs best wishes
