Yea you guys pulled out the turbo the hard way. Easier way is to disconnect the lower gearbox-subframe mount and have one of you swing the engine block away from the firewall, then pass the turbo and manifold down past the subframe. HTH for the reinstall :)

Can't wait for you guys to at least get it to its factory performance

Great content guys, worth changing the boost control solenoid on turbo are a common fault aswell 👍🏼

Had the same issue with mine and my friends ST year's ago. It was the boost solenoid had failed on both cars. Might be worth replacing that while it's stripped.

Gonna be following this project - looking to get a facelift model soon. Good stuff fellas

Just use a reverse twist lug nut remover removes any nut and goes over any locking nut no welding

I did this in my drive take the bottom boost pipe off tilt the turbo and comes right out the bottom without removing the actuator

Hammer a 3/8 drive 12mm socket into centre of locking wheel nut and Bobs your uncle, done a few of them 😮

Can’t wait to see it get a lift kit , mud tyres and a winch 🙏😂

Hi bud my brother is having a problem with is one it is in limp mode and the abs light is on do u know what it could be?

Ask Jon about the cambelt, they did my RS which is the same engine.

I bought an even worse focus than yours ! Not as much rust but it was 2,600 with 178k miles the seller lied saying that it had a full rebuild so i was happy and bought it and it blew up after 70 miles of normal driving never even took it to redline :(
