This test is why Magnus said "Giri" in the lie detector test when Howell asked who he thought was a smart chess player lol.
Magnus knowing that the two Bond movies are back to back. 😎
The Middle one don't know any thing about chess😂
Magnus should have gotten extra marks for giving actual right answer to that world Championship question. The question was framed badly, but he answered correctly.
These videos are so underrated. Why is it so much fun watching Chess pros do not-chess things.
They all look like they have a bright future in chess, maybe one day they become super GMs

"Lets do a fun friendly quiz boys" said the teacher. Magnus: 1:20
Let Anish be Magnus's first grade teacher
Why have they re-uploaded this
Actually, for native rus speakers, including Anish, it's incredibly complicated and just wrong, the way Ian's name is written. In russian it's also long, but straightforward and simple. How crazy one must be to create such a complicated english version. If i was to write his name in English, it's would be Nepomnyashi or Nepomniashy. Like Vishy Anand.

Nothing really wrong about it. I might spell it Nepomnyashchi (I don't really hear a T at the end of any syllable), but that hardly makes it shorter Ne-póm-yash-chi. There for sure is t-esque sound in there but it's in the chi/tji and thus the start of the last syllable. Edi: Okay, I retract that a fair bit. If I listen to Ian speak it, it's almost closer to Nipómnishi, which is a fair deal shorter

The spelling "Nepomniachtchi" confused me for a long time until I realised that it's a French transliteration. In French, ch sounds like English sh and tch sounds like English ch, so the letter Щ becomes chtch instead of shch. I'm not sure why Ian adopted that particular spelling; I guess he just liked it.

@@daev3000oh that’s interesting. I knew the phonemic background but
And here we see three types of smart school kids: - Magnus - the smart kid that could easily have straight A's if they didn't keep forgetting to do their homework. Always argues with the teacher and challenges their opinions. Thinks outside of the box. Uses different methods of solving math problems than what the teacher taught them, on purpose. They don't even bother to bring a pen to class, so they always borrow stuff from other kids. They cram papers into their backpack without a folder. They will probably start their own company when they're 20 and barely finish college. - Anish - the smart kid with straigh A's that's almost every teacher's favorite kid. Eager to answer every question, has the neatest notes and owns ten different colours of highlighters. Other kids would love to copy their meticulously done homework, but they won't let them. At the top of their class. Probably future doctor or teacher. - Jan - the smart kid that has straight A's, but most kids in the class don't know that. Very quiet, always minds their own business, doesn't seem to care if they're popular amongst kids or teachers. Everyone is surprised when they find out that this kid got accepted to a prestigious college. Future scientist, will probably find a cure for cancer or something.

I can only think of ten 4-letter countries, the ones Magnus named plus Cuba, Oman and Laos.
Why repost
I think we can all see that Duda was the one that was most recently in school

World’s oldest currency is certainly not the British pound. It’s the Mesopotamian shekel. 3000 BC. First usage of coins were also not the British Pound, It was the Lydian stater 600 BC in modern Turkey. Rewrite history much?
