Interesting. The Negh’var can handle two warbirds and do serious damage to the scimitar. Two Negh’vars should be enough to take out the scimitar.

@@HacksignKT old lore reference to FASA/Pocket Books Trek works, the Black Fleet was an old version of the Klingon Afterlife. See the novel The Final Reflection, which is both a VERY good read and a good take on old Klingon culture. (Also, Discovery referenced the Black Fleet in Season 1, so it is kinda Canon?)

So the Romulans wouldn't outright attack, and with only two warbirds lol, Warbirds have Stronger Disruptor than that, and their technology is on par or more advanced than Starfleet's. Unfortunately, they always make Romulan warbirds so weak because they are not. None can stand a Flight of Romulan Warbirds.

The immediate issue with the scenario is that the Chancellor's ship would be flanked with at least 2 BOP escorts

Given that the Tal Shiar sent three to meet the USS Prometheus and that was meant to be a friendly meeting that went bad, I doubt they'd send anything less than five Warbirds for Gowron's flagship.

Klingons travel in packs good to ee Quapla .

The flagship would not go anywhere without escorts. Typically a ship carrying the Head of State would have a light and heavy escort. Probably the light squadron of x3 B'Rel BoPs and x2 K'Vort Class cruisers. I wager they'd handle that mean 'ole Scimitar.

the tal shair would probably win, they are smeaky and duplicitous and probably have agents on board the negh'var ready to disable the shields or sabotage key sytems like weapons.
