No wonder Martin lost to his kids💀
The benefit to being a human is being able to observe your opponent’s weaknesses. Martin is basically incapable of capturing pieces unless it’s like check or mate in 1, but stockfish doesn’t know that so it left its queen trapped in the corner even though as a human we know if we just took the pawn on the h file or smth there’s a pretty good chance Martin lets it go
The overconfidence of Martin lead to his demise. He thought it would be kind to give stockfish a chance by promoting the pawn for free. Little did he know, stockfish had no intentions of playing nice

Martin has a chance to take the only pawn white has and doesn't. He is truly based.
This ended when Stockfish got a Queen. Not that Stockfish knew that.
I wonder if it works every time since Stockfish has to take the gamble that Martin won't eat the pawn as it marches forward into a queen
White's Pawn: * Is breaking into Black's defense, is about to eat Black's Rook * Black's Bishop: "I'll pretend it's not happening."
That's not fair, Stockfish had a king.
Beautiful lesson and demonstration.Thank you very much publisher

Martin is playing rlly good for some reason
For some reason I didn't believe that stockfish would've played h6 since it loses the only thing that it could survive with, but not only did it say h6 was the best move, it said that taking the pawn wasn't even the best move until hxg7. Amazing. Even engines know how to get desperate.
