CAN SHE TEACH HER DOBERMAN TO RECALL?

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Nicole and her Doberman were interested in learning how to maximize their e-collar training to give her dog more freedom, so we went to Huntington beach to do some training! Hope you guys enjoy the video and please leave comments and questions!

The most important part (to me) was when you said her training was "all over the place". An 'ah ha' moment for me personally. Something I'm going to be aware of moving forward. Love your influence, Eric 😊

She could see so much progress just in this day, with a little more consistency! That’s all it takes!

@@ericandcaprithepup I bet she did!! I really enjoy your videos and methods. I'm gonna try the "centre" with my dog. A 15 month old Poongsan dog (North Korean breed). I live in South Korea and he's a really cool white dog. A tad reactive when he sees cats, though 😄

The dog owners sometimes watch these videos so in my humble opinion, we -Edit: (channel viewers and commenters) shouldn’t be saying anything negative about their lack of skills. They’re doing the right thing by seeking help with their dogs and we don’t want to discourage that. Now, random people that get involved is another story. Sometimes they need a little constructive criticism. I only wish everyone who owned a dog would seek the help of a professional trainer if they do not have the knowledge and experience to do so themselves which is okay that they don’t know how to train dogs. That’s what dog trainers are for! I enjoy your content. You’re very good at educating the owners and your sense of humor is refreshing. Keep up the good work 😊

Nice training Eric, and nice beach. My dog, Thai Ridgeback, is very independent and protective and so he scares most people and dogs away so it's very difficult to socialize him. I tried using an ecollar on him but gets really weird after that and I discarded it.

Beginning E-Collar training at the beach is actually not a good way to go, as we did in this video, but I was in a different place, and she already had to drive a few hours to get to me so we made do, but the best way is to do it with no distraction at a very low setting at home, but BEFORE you begin, you have to make sure your dog understands the recall WITHOUT IT, otherwise it will almost certainly be a problem!

@@ericandcaprithepuphe understands recall but he will always manage to find a distraction that will make him ignore it. He is a lovely dog very smart and very powerful and very obstinate. He is getting better though compared to what he was like a year ago. He is 2,5 years now. I live in Thailand and not many people here have Thai Ridgebacks because they are so difficult to train.

She didn't know I was a trainer, I mean I don't think she did anything bad, I'm just saying to the people who are subscribed, instead of making excuses, it's much easier to just go tackle the issues our dogs have, that's all

The way the woman said that “her dog is afraid of GSD” it was almost like she wanted you to be the one who calls your dog back so hers can play. It felt very uncomfortable in a way. Maybe I am just reading too much into it.

I also wasn’t sure exactly what was going on because she gave me very confusing vibes, but ultimately the dogs were fine and we are all there with off leash dogs knowing there’s always a possibility something can go wrong, and sometimes it does but honestly, the dogs worn through it themselves most times
