Man, Mika is one of my F1 heroes. Why am I only finding out about this channel and series now?

Max needs a Rubens Baricello 2.0 teammate. The sportsmanship, the friendship and what Rubens brought to Ferrari was second to none. I feel Max, like Schumi, matured a lot quickly and is at a point where he could develop a good working relationship with the right driver. It is a hard seat to fill because most competitive ppl cannot grasp how invaluable the second driver can be. It's a different but no less important role. And honorable, I don't remember a bad word about Schumi and Rubens. Schumi was even vocal about that crappy team decision. Yes he passed R but he did give him the trophy. Bottom line is Max cannot help who he is anymore than Schumi. A, literal, next level driver. Also Mika! I loved watching you drive elbow's out back in the day! 💖

It's unlikely because Max V is a generational talent, arguably like Senna, which transcends all metrics to measure him by and, therefore, comparing him to other normal F1 drivers, like Checo who is no slouch himself, is just unfair. As Mika pointed out, they may only be a couple of tenths apart, but that is a wide margin when the constructors need their 2 drivers to be as close as possible to have strategic options during a race if needed. Currently, and this might be unfair to Checo, is that the second driver isn't performing as close as needed to Max and therefore is useless to the team strategically and in the Constructors Championship to maximise points. So who can RB depend on for this job. Of all Max's teammates, only Daniel Ricc, historically speaking has kept the closest dibs on Max and, therefore, should be tapped to replace Checo if that is the intention.

I agree with pretty much everything with one caviat; Max has improved so much since Danny left RB I highly doubt Danny would fare much better besides Max in the current day than Checo does.

@@mkooijexactly, I’ll doubt if there is anyone currently that can even come close to Verstappen with this car. Like Mika stated in another video, it’s like a video game where you put the sensitivity of the controller to the maximum. Almost impossible to control but if you can master it you will beat everybody. Max is able to do that with this car, but I’ll doubt anybody else can do that

No. Unless he finds half a second per lap and learns how to be consistant, he'll be out before or during the summer break.

I think Checo is perfect for Max. Especially now that he has accepted that he never will be able to beat him. He still takes second place and like 25 mill a year so not bad. I do not see it changing anytime soon. Dont forget that Danny has failed before. Has he changed that much that he will accept second fiddle?

I disagree, it’s good for max that he has no competition from his teammate. But for Red Bull this is not a good situation, this was an amazing dominant season but that will not last. And if your teammate is not picking up the points that he needs to is going to cause issues and maybe a constructors championship. With a car like this he should have secured second place easily and not battling it out with Hamilton at the end of the season

They should have gotten Alex Palou for next year. It would be great to see what Alex Palou could do against Verstappen.....!!!!!!
