What I rarely see being talked about is Max his personal interest in gaming. I am a gamer myself and can tell you that gaming consistently comes with significant benefits. Lewis Hamilton is a fool for not sim-driving. It is obvious that since the young generation entered the sport (Norris, Verstappen, LeClerc etc.), who all play competitive sports games, Hamilton lost his edge. They all come with the added mental and physical experience of playing competitive sports games. It's even been scientifically proven that surgeons who play video games are better at their jobs. As a gamer, I wish Formula 1 and the media gave it more attention.

I am trying to understand how Mika who battled one of the greatest F1 drivers [Micheal Schumacher] and won multiple driver world championships in incredible wheel to wheel fights with Schumacher, suggest that Verstappen who has not won any of his titles in any form of wheel ro wheel title fight is anything resembling a GOAT of F1. Verstappen is a fast driver but he has not earned any championship title in close duel and come out of it on top. Obviously we cannot factor the 2022 season into the equartion as that season was stolen from Lewis Hamilton. We probably measure greatness differently. Most F1 fan consider greatness to emanate from a driver's skill when faced with stiff competition. Not from clearly having the best car, though that helps as well. He has won three championship but none of them is a clear credible effort solely due to his competitive talent. I am not talking about being able to drive super fast in the fastest car without any real challenge; even from his teammate. That said, Verstappen clearly have the skiil to battle with the best out there on the grid. But he has not shown he can do battle over a full season and come out on top at the end of it. Mika on the other hand is a full fledge legend, as he is one of the very few that has battled Schumacher and beat him twice. That is an immense accolade that Verstappen can only dream off.

He's the best right now. This happens in every sport. The current athlete gets the attention. Senna hands down. I don't care about stats. That was a different time. The current nature of F1 allows these young guys to rack all these wins and championships. It started with Schumacher.

wait a minute,Senna era was much difficult then today,Senna time there was not much to play with aero dynamics,it was more conventional then everything electronicaly controlled beside Senna won with many underdeveloped cars and teams,max has two teams one was torro rosso,sister team of redbul and the other is redbull with much finance,redbull was a winning team...never compare max with Senna...

Coming from the fighter aircraft world, our simulators were very realistic 20-30 years ago. I can’t imagine what the race simulators must be like for this generation of drivers. I’m sure they have top shelf technology, a tool which must be invaluable, not to mention……fun!

We get the endless talk about how Max is making F1 boring... and on dramatic tension, yes he is, but we are also bearing witness to perhaps the most dominant performance by a racer in history. Checo was just as quick as Max at the beginning of the year. Checo could win races when the race conditions suited him.... Max is able to win no matter what the conditions are. Max was able to win on street courses, GP circuits, in the rain, in extreme heat, at high altitudes, at night in extreme cold. From the front or from 10 places back. Alex Albon talked about he could just barely keep up with Max at beginning of season but Max pushed to make the car sharper at the front end so it could go faster and sharper and sharper and pushed for more performance, and Alex was unable to match Max's development of the car/ with the car. We got to see a generational talent at the peak of his powers this year.

The F1 season is way longer than it used to be. F1 cars are way more reliable than they used to be. F1 is way safer than it used to be. Just counting race wins is simply not a way to determine a GOAT. Remember the Nouvolaris, the Fangios, Clarks, Stewarts, Prosts and Sennas of the history of this great sport. Nobody has created a formula to determine a GOAT, which is just as well, but race wins certainly isn't it.

Most F1 drivers, legends & team principals they seem to acknowledge Max' ability & talents, but don't listen to them, apparently there are a lot of people here in the web that think they are more qualified than these professionals. It is so amazing that these people who never had touched an F1 car in their lives, they think that they have sufficient knowledge & experience to judge this young man's talent. I'm not surprised if in their minds they think they can beat Max in equal machinery.

thats for sure,he drove in singapour with wrong setup,his car was fast all the time but that day,his talent was useless and become 5th,if senna was driving rb19 in singapour,he could have won easly with that car,you remember Senna stuck in gear 6 in brasil and won it,some people tried with gear 6 none of the drivers ever got success to drive faster like senna did with gear 6..

Max needs a Rubens Baricello 2.0 teammate. The sportsmanship, the friendship and what Rubens brought to Ferrari was second to none. I feel Max, like Schumi, matured a lot quickly and is at a point where he could develop a good working relationship with the right driver. It is a hard seat to fill because most competitive ppl cannot grasp how invaluable the second driver can be. It's a different but no less important role. And honorable, I don't remember a bad word about Schumi and Rubens. Schumi was even vocal about that crappy team decision. Yes he passed R but he did give him the trophy. Bottom line is Max cannot help who he is anymore than Schumi. A, literal, next level driver. Also Mika! I loved watching you drive elbow's out back in the day! 💖

I dont think the car suits Max, he just simply adapted to it better. Every team tries to create the fastest car with the best setups, these cars may not be the easiest to drive but from an engineering standpoint they have set it up to be as fast as possible. However drivers usually want balance and confidence in the car which leads them to ask for development and setup changes to help them, this often means setting the car up in a slower and less optimal way from and engineering standpoint, but will overall help with laptime. Whereas Max just drives and deals with the car he is given from the engineers, regardless of the balance and confidence. RBR have created what they belive to be the fastest car they can make, and Max has simply extracted the most out performance without trying to tamper with what the engineers have created.

Max has his genes from two fast drivers. His dad Jos and his mom Sophie who was a very fast cart driver and raced against Christian Horner. Jos worked along Michael Schumacher in the Benneton team. First as a testdriver and later as his team mate. Jos had the same drivingstyle as MS had, and had a very good relationship with him and even spended holidays together with their family. So even Max and Nick know eachother for along time. Jos knew how to train and aducated Max in his younger years. Put together with his 100% preformence each and every training, and his eagerniss to win and he becomes better and better. Does he have a limit?

He is such a great driver the same way Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumaker were. They were all in the best car on the grid at the time. Mika of all people should know this. I also take offense at everyone thinking Max is so great. He only looks that way because his team mate is pretty weak by comparison when in the same car. We must remember that Rosberg won a world title when driving the same car as Lewis, and Valterri won quite a number of races in the same car as Lewis. Compare that with Checo's performance in the same car as Max. I would love to see Max against Lewis in the same red bulls.

in the beginning checa was better then max but somehow redbull changed the car to max style,thats when all went wrong,checa asked older type settings but was not allowed by the team,they tolled him the car was same,thats a bullshit,a guy winning two times and suddenly he does not win,thats very odd.
