@@stantxtstraykidsandseventeen Being a more skilled dancer has everything to do with being a better technical dancer so you're contradicting yourself there. Natty is better technically. Better hip control doesn't mean much, that's just one part of the body. Julie's technique only shines in feminine choreos with lots of waist/hip emphasis or that lean into her ballet prowess, Natty is better at just about every other aspect.

FINALLY NATTY PRAISE! I still feel like she has so much potential because she’s put her dance on hold to focus on strengthening her ability to sing (which she immensely improved in if you compare NINETEEN to sugarcoat) so once she goes back to focusing on dance she’ll be a force to be reckoned with! She’s definitely shaping herself to be an excellent all rounder 🎉

Really happy all the members stood out to them in Shhh! Haneul and Belle (Belle especially) started dancing very late and got to that level with only around a year of training, which is INCREDIBLE

I think it depends on the specific move. There are certain moves that Julie does better than Natty, and vice versa. Either way, you're splitting hairs, they're both top tier.

To me it’s Natty. I feel like she has a good balance of being relaxed in her movements and controlled, she’s precise but without losing flow. Plus her facial expressions are always on point. I think Julie is fantastic too, but I can’t take my eyes off Natty when she dances.

KIOF's concept really lets them shine and show off their confidence and live skills, and it's really impressive how the girls can do live singing at the same time!!!!! I LUV THEM SMMMMM~~ :D and they can all dance AND sing very very well, and i honestly think they are one of the most talented 5th gen groups at live performances (my opinion feel free to disagree lol don't attack me pls)

I’m not a fan of this group but I do see them on my timeline these days and Natty is definitely main dancer material, she’s among those with the best stage presence and aura in the industry so huge respect to her! I do sometimes see Julie stans discredit her a lot which is a bit unfair because I get it dance is also about taste and some people might prefer Julie’s style, but we shouldn’t dismiss Natty’s insane skills! I can already see it in the comments. Also is natty part of the vocal line too or am I incorrect? Someone help me! 😅

Thank you! I'm literally arguing with several people on TikTok right now who are trying to shade Natty and saying she doesn't deserve to be the main dancer of the group. Belle is the main vocalist and Haneul is the lead vocalist but Natty is a subvocalist so it's not clear-cut to most fans whether she is officially a part of the vocal line or not. Most kissys consider Julie and Natty to be the dance line and Belle and Haneul to be the vocal line, though.

Natty have support and julie i think is near support . they are many group in 5th gen who is lead vocalist and dont have support. why cant natty be sub vocalist when others can be lead vocalists? i also see that natty is treated as part of the vocal line too in the group. i did watch them perform sixth sense by brown eyed girls you can tell all four of them can sing. i would consider natty as subvocalist, lead rapper and main dancer of the group. i cant say much about julie as i didnt see her singing much.

@@HoneySushi no worries it’s just something I’ve noticed for quite some time now and never felt the need to comment on it but these days I am seeing more Julie solo stans discrediting natty to praise julie which I don’t understand as they can both coexist as amazing dancers! Natty has amazing vocals and and an even better vocal tone (her vocals in sugarcoat was 10/10) so her being just a sub vocalist is crazy!! The lead and main vocal are probably outstanding then. I’ve seen a bit of Belle on my timeline and she’s definitely 5th gens main vocal 😅 I hope those girls and natty especially are more appreciated and loved!

@@Daisy999 I think you misunderstood my comment. I didn't say that the fans are right or that what I said is officially confirmed or anything like that. I just tried to answer the person's question and the only information about this is fans' opinions since I haven't seen KIOF or their company talk about this themselves. Natty is a subvocalist officially but that doesn't make her a part of the vocal line, neither does being able to support or just singing in general. The 'lines' of a group consist of the members of that group with a focus in a certain area or other criteria(like age or other commonalities). In KIOF, Natty and Julie are usually referred to as 'dance line' because they are the main & lead dancers; Belle & Haneul are usually referred to as 'vocal line' because they are the main & lead vocalists. This doesn't mean Natty can't be considered as part of the vocal line at all, though. They can definitely all 4 sing and I've seen some people say Julie has a sense of support but I don't really know if this means they're saying she can support or if she's close to doing it. Either way, no part of my comment was saying anything negative about the girls' skills.

@@velvet8112 Exactly! I don't know how anyone can claim to be a fan of a group while hating on one of the members for no good reason. Especially in this instance because JulTty are so close. There are some opinions that Natty should also be a lead vocalist and I don't disagree, she even could be but she just hasn't said anything about it yet. She only introduces herself as 'the main dancer and all-rounder' so it's entirely possible. The subvocalist info came from the group's individual Melon artist profiles and I don't know how official the information there is tbh. Belle is def one of best vocalists of this gen(maybe even THE best) and Haneul is more skilled than she gets credit for. I hope so too!❤❤

Your personal preference isn't what determines postions, though. The only argument I've seen people making for Julie being the main dancer rather than Natty is just that people personally prefer her style or that she stands out more. Neither of those make someone a main dancer and the second one has more to do with being a center or fotg. Natty is more technically skilled and is more focused on dance within the group than Julie(as she's the main rapper) so she deserves the position. There isn't a single valid reason that Natty shouldn't be the main dancer tbh.

This seems really backhanded. It’s odd that you’d reduce nattys skills to fit your narrative, when she’s been praised by countless of accredited dancers in the industry. Like you might prefer Julie’s dancing and that’s fine but to say they only think natty is a good dancer because of possibly facing backlash is really unfair on natty. Natty has trained with girl groups for 10 years during an era were synchronisation and blending with your peers is more important and you can see that she tones down her dancing to synchronise with Belle and Haneul, Julie hasn’t had that same experience which is why she comes off as more energetic! They’re both amazing dancer but Natty shouldn’t be discredited ❤

The only people who think Julie is actually better than Natty have only watched their Nobody Knows choreo and Julie's solo TikToks because that's where she shines but in every other aspect it's obvious Natty deserves to be the main dancer. Real fans and those with knowledge about dance recognize that Natty deserves to be the main dancer.

@@HoneySushi no sorry i think that julie is the best dancer too and not because of nobody knows. i thought that natty was the main dancer because it's her position but after watching multiple videos of them dancing, julie was always the one who stood out from a technical point and energy wise too. she's always so fun to watch and it shows that she really enjoys dancing maybe even more than rapping.

Also training and experience doesn’t always make you a better dancer and just because natty was in the spotlight doesn’t mean that Julie was sitting at home doing nothing. She was training and dancing since young too. All over all their dance videos people are constantly asking is Julie is the main dancer and that she should be, I see it all day and there’s a reason for that. Y’all downplay Julie’s talent all the time just bc of natty’s ‘experience’

Can you explain your reasoning for thinking otherwise exactly, then? Julie caught my eyes the most, the way she express her move is so attractive and smooth. Compare to Natty i know she the main dancer like i feel like she just has lots of energy when she dance, that's all.

I say that they didn't show a videos of julie that shows how good dancer she is they focused on natty by putting a fancam of her in nobody knows but didn't but the same dance moves for julie to compare between them because we all know that julie ate that moves up (that's my opinion and i have no hate for natty cause I have no pies yet)

There's no indication that they knew anything about the individual members beforehand, one of them literally picked Belle as the potential main dancer and they didn't know Julie did ballet. There you go proving you are hating on Natty(or you're at least a Julie akgae) because you're trying to make excuses for why they picked her instead of just accepting the PROFESSIONAL's opinions and you're grasping at straws to push your own biased, uninformed opinion. Julie dancing a few moves in a single song(that suits her style more btw) does not make her a better dancer than Natty. You can say you personally prefer her style but you'd be incorrect to say she's the better technical dancer.
