Bruh I love these vids, genuinely amazing comparisons

I seriously doubt some of the simulation of these older cars. In real life the Lotus 49 was just 10 seconds quicker than the 25 around Silverstone. Hard to believe it would be over 30 seconds around Singapore. There's just something that doesn't translate correctly between these old analogue cars and these digital sims imo.

Well also the driver factor. The guy is oversteering all over the corner exits before long straights, which certainly contributes to the lost time.

Yes, I try not to oversteer too much, but still do a lot. Of course I am not stating that the video is perfectly accurate, especially with old cars, but I try not to be far from reality.

​@@fabulouscarcharts5467- It was still fun to watch thanks. I think your driving was fine. Like I say there's just something a little off with the old racing cars. I'm sure looking at some Goodwood (circuit) times in real life would be a good comparison to see if the old cars were quite quick or not.

@@mr8I7 Nice idea. A video dedicated to split screen comparisons with real life footage is in my todo list, so I will add the 60's F1s to it.

Use the AMG GT Black Series safety car next round. Or I'll do it myself and post it👆

Not really surprising, as long as they didn’t do their top gear magic to make the cars look better, stock coupes from 2008 were able to beat a faster f1 car
