​@@kakkakapwppwowThey occupied a lot of China, but most of the Western part of China didn't fall, and the combination of organized military forces of the KMT in the western cities and the resistance armies of the CCP in the eastern countryside tied down a lot of Japanese resources for the rest of the war.

If you want to get more value out of your flame tanks, I would recommend stacking them full of fuel drum modules. Most of its stats get massive maluses (because it's a flame tank) and even if they didn't you evidently didn't need more stats on tanks against the AI's divisions anyway, but you *were* occasionally struggling with fuel because of your supply problems. A fuel drum flame tank will give your tank divisions a significantly larger fuel cap, so they wont run out of fuel as quickly. Enjoyed the content!

Also do it for light tank recon as well if you want tanks that can work at full efficiency for a really long time. I normally do this as soviets and it works wonders for Barb since you really only need Engineers, Logistics, and Support Arty for tanks.@@Bitt3rSteel

Personally I would say that's a bad idea because good modules on actual tanks are worth the cost and have a substantial impact on the performance of the division, so you're losing out if you use fuel drums on line tanks. Flame tanks don't have any reductions to fuel capacity though (unlike most other stats) so it's a good way to slip the fuel drums in without taking large stat reductions on your line tanks. HoI4 is a cruel balancing act lmao.

Great video! It's very understandable that you didn't go for the world conquest. It was very painful.

I think the biggest mistake here is having total air superiority and not supplying your tanks with transport planes even if the supply base falls, also armor plates instead of self sealing fuel tanks but thats a meta thing

As far as I know transport planes can drop supply, but they don't deliver fuel. Which means the tanks can fight, but still move at a snails pace..

@@farmerboy916 sure if you plan in fighting in low supply regions and plan to rely on supply from air than no fuel units would be better. But generally you shouldn't fight in low supply regions at all

If you want to take out an enemy's naval Air Force, design a Super Heavy battleship and outfit it with max AA. Planes will target it in battle and get shredded, protecting the rest of the fleet

5:07 Self Sealing Fuel Tanks is definitely the better option here.

Should have put more fuel drums in all of your tanks (especially the flame tanks) and started off by throwing up transport planes as well. Would've made it much less painful for you.

Maybe a future Video idea a run as a country of your choice where you can only attack over Rails into the enemy territory (definetly not stolen from discard haha)

NGL, watching both videos were quite enjoyable. I watched his by chance last week and was absolutely blown away by the skill. Just play some total war or better yet go get yourself some waffles to recharge before the next video lol.

For '36 cas, Bomb bay + bomb locks with engine 2 allows you to have drop tanks + dive brakes. And if you have the rubber for it, self sealing > armor plates

Well there are people who defeat china with 2 divisions and there is me who waged war on Tibet as Mongolia in 1937 and played all the way to the 1945 with no movement of borders whatsoever. We literally fought almost a decade and the only change in territory was little 1 tile grabbed by Tibet. And I was allied with soviet union. I am afraid to imagine what Tibet can do if it was agressive state

The Chinese AI seems to be very passive. In the games i played they would simply overrun the 2 Division simply because they cant be everywhere at the same time.

Maybe it would have been a good idea to deliver supplies via transport planes, if supply is abyssmal in China but it's not a problem to keep air dominance, and you only need supply for two divisons anyway? Or would that not have worked?

Hey bittersteel (and other’s reading this comment) So, i have a problem with naval invasions. When i trie to do one, i select my units and assign them to the order, but the order has no units assigned! I have no other orders, so it can’t be that. Is it because i need naval tech?

Since you're only using 2 divisions you don' really need to do the garrison order, as long as your troops are near a field marshal front line they'll get a planning bonus (I know it works when they're unassigned, not sure about if they're assigned to their general's front line). The garrison part giving you 72 max troops is kind of an exploit but I personally see limiting planning bonuses to only troops next to a front line with a battleplan (even when that plan isn't being followed or turned on) as a poorly designed game mechanic and planning should just go up when you're standing still like entrenchment, so to me that part isn't an exploit it's a fix.

You do garrison order so you can have absolute cntrol over the troops because otherwise they just move around the frontline out of their own volition. That can be problematic when you only have 2 troops and their movement needs to be exact.

@@user-nv1px1ob6g You can leave them unassigned for that effect, the garrison order is to be able to put 72 divisions under a general without penalty. And not doing the garrison order if you don't need it removes the possible surprise of the country you picked for the order suddenly joining the war and causing all your troops to walk away, though that's pretty unlikely for historical Switzerland.

@@Vaelosh466 I think I know more about garrison order than you. Here is a tip, you can just garrison order unpassable terrain like the middle of Australia or Sahara desert so even when that country joins the war your troops won't move. You are right you can keep them unassigned but every time you add a new frontline with that field marshal it will assign those unassigned troops to that front, which is fine right until you forget to unassign once and it's jover. If the game on its own creates a new front (which it does sometimes) it will assign those troops to the new front as well and MOVES those troops to the new frontline. Garrison Order is the only sure way of having 100% control over your unit no matter what happens. Also no, Your units won't get a planning bonus from their own general's frontline if they are not assigned to that frontline (Even if they are bordering it). The extra unit is alright but nobody does garrison order for extra unit. Because in singleplayer you don't need to micro that much, AI is awful at this game. In Multiplayer you can't micro that many unit without getting incircled every minute. Rigit Cohesion while good, still moves your troops.

You're right that when you recreate frontlines it assigns them to them, but that also takes away the big exclamation point you're expecting to see so it's obvious they're assigned somewhere they aren't supposed to be.

@@Vaelosh466 Honestly bro, I've had a couple of naval invasions fail, units becoming unassigned and then marching to the field marshall's frontline to know unassigned units will get assigned to the frontline if the game creates a new frontline. I'll do more testing tomorrow to make sure.
