He can change ideology by getting war goals and letting them expire over and over again till he has enough fascist support to take the event to change fascist since letting one expire reduces ruling party popularity by 5%

Coup Germany! It does still exist as a spy mission, you just need their stability to be low enough and their democracy support to be high enough, which was probably why the guy who made the save was boosting democracy support

​@@mountelbert4214 It's easier to do it while they are at peace, but not necessary. To launch a coup, the country you coup needs to have 20% of your ideology, and then either: 1. Be a minor country that is at peace with under 70% stability 2. Be a major country at peace with less than 50% stability or 3. Have less than 35% stability

It will be very slow + it's 1963 and all nations will have maxed out their agencies which is problematic to keep working and I think the coup just creates another civil war which means it won't be that useful.

Whenever I see these saves, I always have so many questions. Why has this guy still only got 3 research slots? Why is half the focus tree not done? Why has he decided not to research anti-tank against Germany? How the heck did the AI manage to successfully naval invade the USA?

It seems this save was played by someone who was going for czechmate

I had one WW2 last super long as well, IIRC Germany end Soviets both ended up with over 100M casualties and USA alone over 150M. It was long, long time ago and I believe the calculations for population were done very differently then, but it ended at 1968 or so, when Germany finally gave in to the relentless naval assaults by Allies. I played as Japan and went against USSR instead of Allies and I had china's manpower, but even I had to go to all adults serve with over 20M casualties. :D

@@mattipeltola8949 So, Germany and the USA lost their entire population, the Soviet Union only has widows left, and Japanese conscription officers were sacking entire Chinese villages day after day just to make up for losses. At that point dropping a couple nukes on everybody would be considered mercy.

It seems bizarre to me that the player didn't at least research light aircraft frames and modules, modern tanks and their upgrades, and mountaineers and their upgrades. I get that at some point some research you'll never use but if he ever wanted to push out he was going to need something better than normal infantry.

It feels very unnatural (getting to 63 alone is very rare) so it was probably made specifically for this purpose or at some point in a losing save game they decided to prepare it for this purpose

I wonder if it would be possible to put maintenance companies in the divisions, and gradually build up a stock of captured tanks to equip an offensive force with. Given the resource limitations the Czechs are facing that seems the only route open to assembling an armored force successful attacks will require. It would probably take forever though.

Am I the only one whose mind immediately read that as "1936"" and went "how much of a disaster can they have gotten themselves into _that_ early?" well... interesting to see if anyone else can do something with this (I cannot believe it's possible but then Bittersteel and ppl like him have made made doing things I can't believe are possible the cornerstone of their YT career lol)

The only thing i can think off is spending years researching and building an airforce with the best Jet Fighter-CAS hybrid the game can have and just deploy 2000 of those all in one go, and with that +some modern tank divisions of your own hopefully get a few tiles, build lvl 10 bunkers, get more tiles, and so on until germany and italy capitulate

Additional supply depots will increase supply, giving you better combat performance.

nuclear rockets are a possible solution. Nuclear weapons in this game are almost never used do to how weak the devs made them ,but they exist.

If the statement Every 60 seconds in Africa, a minute passes is true, then we can assume that statement that every 30 minutes in hoi4, a year must pass will also be true, there for that must mean that after 810 minutes it may infant be 1963

I am also VERY confused now how the allies fell. Because from what I've seen? The AI is hard coded (as in never will do this, even if you give them naval supremacy) navally invade the UK or the New World. So like... how did the Allies Capitulate? Even AI Japan, with full supremacy over the Pacific, with Hawaii taken (I did it with volunteer marines as Brazil)... absolutely refused to push to America or Australia. Same with the Germans. Even with complete supremacy? They never landed on the British Isles. So how did they accomplish this? Weird.

Ive been there too, in a failed mp game. With exiled polish troops helping to hold my borders. My polish friend wanted to continue, but i rather start a new game. It was his first game ever.

This happened to me as greece, all my allies capitulated to germany and I was stuck there fending off endless german and italian hordes. Where they got all that manpower, I really don't know.

I don't think even bittersteal could do this, this is impossible

A fun theory game but really HOI4 isn't meant to go until those years.

This is salvageable but it'd be 2020 before it'd be over.

You can justify a shitload and then let it run out that gives you a stability, war support and stability hit

Mate you can coup Germany by spy operations

The agent system needs an over haul because the old system feels better ngl. I'd change it by there is 3 ways to infel. No cap rate but infs really slowly. Boosts popularity and infs but is 2/5s (40%) as effective then normal. I'd also have agents on infil give 10% as effective rates when on a mission to keep infil lowering just because your 2nd man is saving the first. Also I'd have at high risk to self break out that gets much safer with Tough and comando. Also the propaganda I'd flat out buff by 300% base line. as well as work as holds progress in infil, how ever have a higher cap rate then base line. I'd lastly have a new defensive use to boost recon as well as air detection, in and boarding the lands your spy is over sees. I'd have as an upgrade that this also gives entrenchment cap of up to 5. Being a vary clear defensive use for spies. Over all I think it would make them not feel as bad, also I forgot, I'd had auto missions so you can pre order people to do missions or let spys auto to infing people you are at war with so you don't have to micro them.

Here is how i would do it, add maintenance to the defensive units, to get german equipment, focus on getting back core land because you get core attack and defense bonuses so its easier then going for germany straight up, then try forming austria hungary for manpower and get acess to the sea (now you can trade), use collab goverment on germany, and then take Berlim. P.S. Because you have rocket equipment and low fuel, go for rocket interceptors because they dont use fuel.

It’s possible, there are many ways to do it, each taking about a decade-two Decades usually (There’s also a 100% guaranteed way to beat it of taking a tile, building maxed forts, taking another, building maxed forts, and so on, but that’s something no one wants to spend time on) Also, nukes and coups will help tons here, jets too, if you can afford them Rockets don’t as you’ll just destroy the places you want to take over, and the AI somehow isn’t affected by all that Interesting to note, is that this isn’t a hard save (unless you really do some stupid stuff), just slow, Casualties usually go into 100’s of millions at most, (Berlin is really close, Major German Victory points are too,) Oh, and there’s always a place to retreat to if needed

To get ideoligy boost you could start justifying on Nations and then not declaring war so you get the event where it says weak forgein policy no?
