I don't want to be that guy, but you couldn't use fan rotom for this because they only added rotom changing type starting in gen 5 and I always find it weird that not only does rotom have it's best forms locked by an event that no longer exists but also didn't even get a STAB boost until the next generation

I had my togetic once battle a Wild Chansey for high points. It was time taking, but I think on the third metronome, it got sacred fire, the then Ho-oH Signature move. The Chansey actually survives, but then on my fifth metronome, I got freaking Judgement, which took the pink blob out. I'm never gonna forget that, especially when Arceus and Ho-oH are two of my favourite legendaries.

I love how you "broke the Sturdy" during the 6th gym even though this is Gen 4 and Sturdy didn't work like that till Gen 5.

Fun fact: Although you didn’t end up using it, in Generation 4 only Rotom-Fan (and all other Rotom appliance forms) was Electric/Ghost typing. So it wouldn’t have been an eligible encounter anyway.

Yessss he’s back!! Excited for this. Recently did a flying type nuzlocke in Emerald and it was crazy! Currently doing a forums type in Platinum now!

That Mantine ruling is a little weird. Catching a Remoraid to evolve your Mantyke would be like catching Bidoof as a HMmon - and I take much more umbrage with the catching of Giratina to specifically derail a challenging boss encounter. I know you like to actually make it to the E4 for the content but "swept by Giratina" would have been pretty good content too.

Whole month with out Silphs Nuzlockes is way too much!!! Que bueno que estás de regreso amigo!!!

You know, I used to think Pidgeot was the best bird Pokémon, just because I grew up with him. But it’s pretty clear just how much better Staraptor actually is. He has a much better ability, access to better moves (like close combat) and better stats IMO. Basically, he’s a sweet bird

I think alot of folks played heartgold and soulsilver as their first game, hence the assumption that pidgeot was the best.

@@FatalHog could be. I played OG red when it came out, and IMO Novotel, and swallow just weren’t as good as pidgeot. So I just assumed he was the best there was lol

Staraptor has objectively better stats than Pidgeot - 40 more attack base is huge difference, as the bulk and speed is similar (Intimidate makes Staraptor’s physical defense even better anyway). Talking about early bird Pokémon though, Corviknight is the actual best one. Zero discussions on that.

Gliscor is absolutely amazing. It's really tanky and has a very wide movepool with access to the element fangs and things like X-Scissor, Night Slash, and some Rock moves, too. A few years ago, I did a run of Ultra Moon bringing in Pokemon that I had never used before, and Gliscor was my MVP.

I always need something playing at night to help me fall asleep and these videos are the perfect mix of captivating enough for me to be attentively watching, and calming enough to help me go to bed. And when I wake up I always make sure to go back to the point that I fell asleep at and continue watching because they're just that damn awesome. Another good run. My favorite runs are always the ones where Silph uses a type no trainer in the region specializes in so this one bound to be fun. Shame we couldn't see Togekiss get some action here, but funny seeing Silph work with Chatot through the end

Some really nice choices for flying type. I used to use Pelipper a lot when I was a kid because I liked the way it looked.

A lot of these usually have little variation in what you end up using because you're so good but this one had a good few deaths! Which is a good thing in this case cause it was interesting to see what you were using. Very exciting!

Scyther literally has the same base stat total as Scizor so even without evolving, it would’ve been a pretty good Pokémon. I do wish you used it instead of Chatot.

I should mention, it would have been fine if Wurmple evolved into Cascoon. Because the stats that determine what Wurmple evolves into is determined on its encounter, catching one that evolves into a Cascoon would count as an illegitimate encounter. You'd just be able to go back and catch new Wurmple until you get one that isn't illegitimate.
