Mmmm half of Alders original team is also bug type... just like the closest gym leader to the forest... (I actually thought he was considered a bug type champion until I just looked up bug type on bulbapedia but he's not even mentioned on the bug page)

I'm so glad that Volcarona got to be such a clutch member. I adore it, it's one of my favorite mons ever. So seeing it do well heals my heart.

I really appreciate seeing how Silph's youtube skills have improved over time. I just recently went back to watch some of his earlier episodes as a helpful distraction to fall asleep too and the quality of the jokes, video editing/sfx and even just the general pacing or flow of the episodes has noticeably, maybe even vastly, improved.

fire types do tend have bad defensive stats but also quite a few resistances, excited to see how this one plays out.

As you were sweeping through Grimsley, your attack kept on getting lower and lower because of Superpower's secondary effect. It didn't matter this time, but it's something to keep in mind. Earlier in the video as well, you missed a KO due to the attack drop from Superpower that you thought you had calculated for.

The Alder headbutt and hairgel jokes got me pretty good. I can't believe you can keep coming up with fresh material after all these runs.

Shows just how versatile Fire types are 😌 Altho those Confuse Rays sure got lucky at a few points ;) GG's either way! This challenge is hard AF haha

Darmanitan is stupid good in the Unova games in general so its no surprise it ended up pulling a lot of weight here. Volcarona sweeping Iris single-handedly was also quite nice.
