In Galaxy 2, you can use the Cloud Flower to skip the water planet in Fluffy Bluff Galaxy And as a bonus: The Bowser level of world 4 also has water, but you can use a speedrun trick to get past it as well! iirc all the other water in the game is either avoidable or on a split path that you can just avoid, so I THINK its beatable

I don't think it's ever beatable without touching the water. In World 6, there are two separate paths that I'm pretty sure can't be avoided. In Slimy Spring Galaxy, you immediately touch the water. And in Battle Belt Galaxy, you need to go underwater in order to kill the boos.

Actually, it might be interesting to win an entire Mario Party Superstars board game without touching grass/water. You can just use Space Land, which lacks either of those two elements, for the board, and then it's just a matter of hoping the minigames don't force you to touch grass/water, and you have to reset the turn if it does or you mess up.

For NSMB 2. There’s a cannon in World 1 which will take you to World Mushroom. The Cannon in World Mushroom will take you to World Flower. The Cannon in World Flower will take you to World 6. You don’t have to go through World 3, although I don’t remember if you go through water at that path

I know I'm late, but here's how clipping works. Mario moves in quartersteps every frame. If one of those quartersteps touches the wall or collision point, Mario moves to that last quarterstep and stops moving. However, if Mario is moving at high speeds and none of his quartersteps touch the wall or collision points, Mario will never touch the wall and move through it. That's how BLJ clipping works. So when doing an SBLJ to bypass DDD, Mario never touches the entrance and therefore, never touches water.

Even in SM64 0-Star, you have to clip through the world entry to DDD to go to Fire Sea...and that is very clearly water...

Nice work Bandy, this really brought up a new way for me to play the game! This kind of reminds me of that earlier video where all the water was removed in the NSMB Games, it’s awesome to see a callback of sorts to that! 😅

In Odyssey, you can do DSS (Dino-Skip-Skip) to avoid having to go on that bridge in Cascade. Not sure if you can do Lake/Seaside though.

If you do Lake Clip to get to the picture platform, I think it's entirely possible to beat that kingdom without touching water. However, I don't think you'll be able to get enough moons in Seaside. Maybe you can, but I wouldn't bet on it.

In Galaxy 2, you don’t need to get the first star in that stage, you can just get the Coin luma and avoid the water that way

Playing an entire game of mario party without touching water might be a fun little challenge.

6:25 there is a trick (rta viable) called 2kds which skips the second keydoor entirely. Just get 3 Stars (no moat skip obviously) and then do the same movement as any%

Can't you use a Cloud Suit in Mario Galaxy 2 to skip to the last planet in Fluffy Bluff? By long jumping off the big tree and making cloud platforms you can avoid water that way!

Now you can accurately play as a Nintendo fan while in a Mario game.

You can get past Fluffy Bluff in Galaxy 2 by either taking the 100-coin-luma secret star or using the Cloud Flower and long-jumping to skip all the way to the last planet. Galaxy 2 maybe be rather linear but it's not THAT strictly linear like, say, 3D Land.
