1st and foremost..........never, EVER use a torque wrench to break torque! You will screw up the calibration and it will never torque correctly again. This is what breaker bars are for.

On the back side of the hub (wheel), there are 2 slots that you can slide a pin into that will hold the wheel in place. Just an FYI.

When I heard 200ftlbs My first thought was I am sure it's really 300ftlbs as most will use the good and tight method. A 30 inch breaker bar would be best to remove along with a 4 foot pipe. Nice to see you used a torque wrench to tighten. Most will just stomp on a 4 foot pipe and get it good and tight. I see it all the time

  • @speedandstyletony

Actually you will need more than 220 ft/lbs to loosen the nut but a torque wrench is meant for tightening. A breaker bar or even an impact driver would be the better tool to remove. Now when you put it back on you need that 220{actually 221} ft/lbs to keep the wheel on.

Do you have a torque wrench? Are there any one who is going to have a spare tire? I know you arent going to be carrying a spare because theres no place to carry one.. you shouldn't have taken off the wheel. Why are you thinking that you are going to have a flat or blow out? I wouldnt be going anywhere that I thought I would be likely to have tire damage. If you have a blowout you will have worse troubles than just repairing the tire, if you have a blow out you will have to replace the tire any how. Now for a puncture it's easier to repair the tire, if it can be repaired, while it's on the Ryker you should have a tubeless tire repair kit, and its smaller, but you will need air to pump the tire back up, plus, you get 1 year of roadside assistance with the warranty. I dont see any practical reason to remove the wheel while on the road. Now you have to torque the wheel nut back down. Do you have a torque wrench? Good luck and safe riding .

As has been made plainly clear in most Rykder videos, storage on the Ryker is basically nonexistent. I'm not exactly sure where you might carry a 65mm socket and a torque wrench in the event you have a flat tire on the road some place. Unless you wanted to lay out the cash for one of those small cases you can mount behind the rider or the side saddle bag, both of which only appear to offer minimal storage real estate. So to answer your question, I don't see the value in buying either unless for use in your own garage, but a flat on the road is still going to cost you some bucks to repair.

The reason for the dislikes could be the following: 1 Don't jack the bike up on the A- Arms you could damage them. Jack up on the bikes frame. 2 Use a rod or Allan key to lock the wheel from the back side like intended 3 Never use a torque wrench to loosen a nut you will damage the wrench. It's a precision instrument. Use a breaker bar. In one of his replies he says he couldn't get the nut off with a breaker bar and set the the torque wrench to 400 ft-lb to get it off. What? This shows that he has no idea of how to use a torque wrench. And there is no way that wrench has a 400 ft-lb setting 4 I could be wrong but I have never seen a torque wrench that small capable of 221 ft-lb. Mine is over 2 ft long. It needs to be that long to be able to apply that high torque. My100 ft-lb wrench is longer than that one. 5 When using a torque wrench never jerk up and down on it to get to the desired torque. Even pressure till it clicks. 6 Tighten the nut with the wheel in the air so that the wheel centers on the axel properly and is torqued correctly. 7 Re torque after a number of miles This is really important to be done correctly as we have seen. Even some dealers can't seem do it correctly. I hope his wheel stays on and he doesn't have any problems. Just my 2 cents.

Torque wrenches don't apply torque. They are used to measure the amount of torque used to tighten a nut or bolt. Breaker bars are used to break loose a bolt. You have to use one of the correct size to get the job done. Thanks for trying to make an informative video. In the future please find out the correct procedure before you attempt to teach something.

Uh my man you better put that wheel back on with 221 torque pounds or your wheel may fall off Goin down the road. There is another guy on KZread that the dealer didn't put the correct torque on it and his wheels fell off. If I were you I would just use the can am road side assistance that came with the bike.

My New 2019 Torque Bar has a ( Click ) when you reach the torque. Also, it half the size of a old torque bar. Keep in mind if everyone that buy this have run back to dealership make sure it’s correct. There going be some long lines. I’ll trust my work over any local dealership employee who is just ready go home. Doing a half job put these machine together.

Ho mon dieu . Un clef dynanometrique pour démonter. Pfff . Pourquoi ne pas avoir pris un clef à cliquet. Normal. Tu abîme ta clef à démonter avec ça.

That's not a proper torque wrench for 220 FOOT LBS !!! I have that small 3/8 " drive one, as well as the bigger 1/2 " drive longer torque wrenches. Both don't have a setting for up to 220 FT LBS. You'll need the huge torque wrench to properly set that tire on! You probably set it to 220 INCH LBS, which is waaaay too loose. This is an important safety issue. Look what happened to another ryker rider who had the dealership assemble his trike to have the tire come off at 800 miles. m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/eoGhyKqcYrSwmMo.html profanity used, but he could've died from their incompetence!
