We have to take into this the idea that marriage is not only about happiness. My huaband has a mental illness. We have ups and downs due to this reality. But..we are committed to each other. Happiness cabnot be the sole purpose of marriage. Does this make sense?

@@missanonoymous7829 hey even my brother has mental illness, he can't speak though he is 13 yrs old taking care of him is very difficult it sometimes frustrates the whole family but we take care bcz we love him.. he doesn't understand anything but whenever I get hurt he starts crying like anything looking at this it gives us happiness... We love him and are sure that one day he can achieve good and that will give us happiness.... He is happy bcz he loves us too so isn't a family threaded together by happiness and nourished by love? Ik there are many other things but the soul purpose is happiness and that's why we r together. So I don't think that person is wrong.... Btw hope you all are good and safe in this pandemic

Marriage is not about happiness or love ! It's about duty and responsibility to the society and kids .. its hard work and sacrifice for a bigger good .. rather than petty happiness for one self... Yes happiness can come as a by product that may come out of the satisfaction of fulfilling one's duty but surely ain't the sole purpose to begin with ...

There is nothing called as an ideal wife or an ideal husband in this world. No one is perfect or can be perfect. We all are humans and have some or the other kind of expectations from each other. Problem comes from here when we start expecting and we want to change the other person according to our own needs. We need to understand that everyone is unique and different in their own ways and there are both positives and negatives in a human being and we should learn to accept it. We can't always please others and we can't always keep others happy because it's human nature that we get sad, angry, depressed, annoyed, happy, disappointed. Human being is made up of all these feelings. So instead just try to be the best of you and be happy. Because if you are happy then only you can keep others happy. Just be healthy emotionally and physically so you can enjoy your life the way it is.

There's no such a thing as ideal wife or husband. Love each other, ask what matters most for him/her. We show our love through different things, so, what matters for me, might not matter for my spouse.

After only reading title : Why anyone has to be ideal ?? Why can't they be themselves and be true version of themselves. Why is it about female? P.s: this video popped up in my feed and these were thoughts came into my mind just by reading the title.

I respectfully disagree with you. He did answer the question for both man and woman. The basis of a happy marriage, I.e. being an “ideal” wife or husband, is that each one of them is happy and they do not depend on the other to be happy, then their union can be a happy one.

Depends on the relationship and what that person wants. But generally it's someone with compassion, patience and a loving personality.

Is being a "geared" human being superior to not being one? What is the ideal way to live? With or without the support of social support. And finally, what does one really need to do with his/her life? What does it mean when Sadguru says that one must know this piece of life in its entirety? What is the significance of that and what will such an understanding culminate to? Someone please send this to Sadguru and make him make a video on it or something.

Probably the best video till date... I hate the fact that Nepalese parent's force their daughter to be an ideal wife... We from our very first day we are treated as outsider and our parents especially mother teaches us to do household stuff rather than other useful things ,so that we can be ideal wife .... Well I'm not saying this is not useful... It's the basic skill of life we girls are blessed 🙏 of , but why are we forced to do these things.... ??? Now being 18 i started to think the same will i be a good wife.... Or should i not be get married because we won't have life for ourselves after marriage.... We need to think of other people and husband and relationship.... So i thought i will never get married.... But if any men get this point and this video... Than surely not every man thinks like my mother.... !!

Definition of culture is " moving with the times...in a positive way......" If a woman is not modern she is not cultured........how can she be a good wife.....sound education plays a critical role in a person's ability to differentiate the positive & negative aspects of human activities...... & they must be bold enough to ditch all negative activities...or else society will stay in a stagnant mode.....a woman who fully understands this is able & will prove to be an efficient & understanding wife & mother....
