Can A Force Touch Sensor Be Reused? | Apple Watch Repair

Ғылым және технология

In this video I show you whether its possible to re use the force touch gasket or force touch sensor during an Apple Watch repair. Usually its recommended to have a force touch sensor replacement done however as I show you here, it is indeed possible to re use the force touch gasket from an Apple watch and even transfer it to another. The Apple Watch used in this video is a Series 1 that I did an Apple Watch Display Replacement on as well as an Apple watch battery replacement but I forgot to buy a force touch sensor so thought I will swap over one from an iCloud locked Apple Watch.
Watch OS 8, iPad OS 15 and IOS 15 are releasing tomorrow and I will definitely do an Apple watch on WatchOS 8 and all the other videos related to the new OS's so stay tuned!

I've replaced the battery and force touch sensor and still does not light up. Does that mean I'm screwed? Is there anything that I can replace?

If you don’t clean the touch gasket does it affect the touch? I have an Apple Watch Series 3 that won’t respond to touch and I’m not sure if it’s due to a broken gasket or if it’s just dirty

If it wont respond at all means its broken..a gasket with dried glue still on will work but not well
