The longer I watched this video the more I realized I am going to have to take mine to the shop

The dexterity of this guy. Speechless I am. Apple won't fix them - now I am taking it to my Indian mate tomorrow.

Just got an Apple Watch SE for Christmas and although there are no cracks on it since it’s brand new. I got a gnarly scratch right in the middle of the screen from just brushing my hand near a granite counter top. There are no other scratches on it. Just one. But it’s noticeable and it’s driving me freaking crazy! Like you can feel the scratch with ur nail when you touch it. So I started looking into how to buff out a scratch but could not find nothing that actually works or that’s recommended (tooth paste method). I’m sure that’s great for light little scuffs but not for a big scratch like this. So I looked at Apple’s site to see if they can replace the screen but they wanna charge you over $200 to replace the screen??? At that point I might as well buy a brand new one. But I shouldn’t have to cause this one still works. So I’m looking into other screen replacement methods like going to a third party phone repair shop to see if they can replace the screen for me. So watching ur video to see the steps on how they do it. Hopefully they don’t charge too much.

Don’t get replacement in third party shops. Once they open it up this will destroy the waterproof seal and void Apple’s warranty. Your best option is to keep it as it is. Once they open up the watch it’s no longer water resistant. Hope everything works well for you.

Hi! Will be easier to change a whole lcd, but of course it's possible to replace just the glass. Will be cheaper, but process is harder 😉

Hi, how do you identify which layer to separate? I’m looking to do a glass only replacement on my SE since the digitizer still works, or would you suggest replacing the digitizer along with the glass?

@@alexosow Eventually yeah, I was able to separate several screens without damaging them, but I also had quite a few casualties. Only have a working SE now

@@plzdonhack What kind of casualties did you have? What do you think people could learn off of it? I'm looking to do this soon so I wanna be prepared especially since I haven't opened up a smartphone before. I've worked with plenty of computers though and I looked really deep into how this repair is done like 2 hours worth of watching the same kind of videos so I think I should be good

@@alexosow If you are attempting this without having any prior experience with opening up smartphone, it maybe difficult gauge how much force you can exert without breaking the parts. For me, I have broken about 4 AW screens so far, two SEs, one Series 4, and one Series 3. The SEs developed a few vertical lines after separation. Series 4 worked perfectly after separation, but while adjusting the glass on the OLED, i separated it to remove air bubble. DO NOT DO THAT, it broke the screen and it now barely displays. As for my AW3, I dropped it after separation so it has some dead pixels. My recommendation for you is to get some salvage Apple Watch Series 1/2 on Ebay for cheap and attempt to separate the glass on that. That way you can gain some experience before working on your own watch.

Only glass on 4, 5 and SE are the same. Display and touch 5 & SE the same, 4 different 😉

What is the liquid that you use to remove the glue? And to clean the lcd after remove the touch?

Hi. 4 5 and se has the same glass. But only glass. Glass with touch wouldn't fit 😁

I removed my cracked glass screen from SE 44mm… now I see a silver aluminum looking back, what should I do next? My kit contains tools and a clear screen not the black tint screen???? 😮

Disconnect the battery. Check under microscope if You can if 3 connectors on display are clear. Only 1 wire not clear and will be problems. Then connect the battery and don't turn on, first put the watch on the charger 😉

I ripped the black tape when i was peeling it banck. Nothing happend to the three black cables.. but am I still fucked?
